It's always very attentive service whenever I go there to dine. Free soup even before meal starts. The server constantly checked in to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. The owner is sweet, and I observe she constantly provides guidance and training to staff.
To be honest it's pricier these days but there goes rent and everything else. Just have to eat out less frequently but I still love the food at Daeco. Fresh and good quality.

As a local resident who absolutely LOVES sushi, I was excited to try this restaurant. I’m genuinely concerned about the integrity of their service.
STAFF: they were unprofessional. Their demeanor lacked basic courtesy. While I could have perhaps overlooked this, what truly compelled me to write this review was the dishonesty surrounding our order. We ordered a few, only to be served something entirely different. The presentation and contents of our rolls didn’t match what we ordered. There was no mention of substitutions or unavailable items at the time of ordering. Instead, it seems they decided to butcher the order based on what they had available, and served it without a word. When I raised the issue, the staff denied any error and insisted we had received what we asked for!
What’s most troubling is not just the mistake itself, but the refusal to acknowledge it. I would have understood if they had explained an item was unavailable, but to be met with denial and condescension felt not only disrespectful but also unacceptable from a business that relies on customer trust.
This restaurant has potential given its location and the growing demand for good sushi in the neighborhood, but if the management doesn’t address these issues particularly around staff training, I fear they won’t last. I hope they take this feedback with a grain of salt and use it as a wake-up call to improve. As someone who genuinely wanted to enjoy and support this place, I’m disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it.
Daeco Sushi, I'm honestly so sad I only discovered you this late.
The sushi I've had until now doesn’t even compare—this is the real deal. It was incredibly delicious, and the level of service was something I've never experienced before.
Thank you so much for everything.
Went there for lunch. The taste, presentation and the friendliness of the staff is amazing. Highly recommended. Would definitely visit again.
Love this place, I have been coming here for years. Service is fast, the place is quiet. The pieces of sushi, sashimi, or hand rolls are great portions. I hate going to a sushi place, and they give you tiny pieces of sushi for a high price. Price, quality, and portions are great. It is located on st Clair west near Young and St. Clair, so the parking is on the street or find paid parking. Everything tastes they way it is supposed to, so if you don't like it, then you may not like sushi, and that is ok. The place is also very clean.
Meals are so good. It’s worth to eat here
The menu is very confusing between the website, menu photos, and the delivery options, but the food I tried (vegetable gyoza, mango salmon roll), was very good, fresh fish and flavours were balanced.
I’ve ordered sushi here 3 times in the past three weeks and each time it’s been delicious! Great value too, and the woman working even gave me a free cup of soup while I was waiting for my order.
Will be coming here many more times I’m sure.

This is the best sushi place near Yonge & St Clair, the portions are large, fresh and well made. The service is great, very friendly and kind staff. The quality of the food beats all the other sushi restaurants in the area. Dine in space is cozy but small, gets crowded at lunch on weekdays from the office crowd.
Ate here last summer, and it was very good. Then on December 31st, NYE, we got takeout and it was TERRIBLE. Sushi didn't taste fresh, the chicken teriyaki was disgusting, with a big glop of too sweet sauce, and the shrimp in batter was an oily, gross mess. So disappointing.

Daeco Sushi is a culinary masterpiece! The moment you take your first bite, you’ll know this isn’t just another sushi spot. Every roll and sashimi piece is made with precision, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors that leave a lasting impression.
What really stood out for me was the balance in their menu – traditional sushi done perfectly and creative options that push the boundaries, like their pressed sushi. The presentation is so stunning, you almost don’t want to eat it (but trust me, you’ll want to).
The vibe is relaxed yet upscale, and the staff make you feel like a valued guest from the second you step in. It’s clear they’re passionate about great food and excellent service. Whether dining in or taking out, Daeco Sushi is an experience to remember. This is a must-visit for sushi lovers!

Daeco Sushi has quickly become my favorite sushi spot in the city! The quality of the ingredients is unmatched, and you can tell the chefs take great pride in their craft. The pressed sushi was a highlight for me – absolutely delicious and so unique!
The ambiance is cozy yet modern, making it a great place for a casual lunch or a special night out. The staff are kind and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure a great experience.
I’ve also tried their takeout, and it’s just as impressive – fresh, well-packaged, and arrives in perfect condition. If you’re a sushi lover, you owe it to yourself to try Daeco Sushi!

Daeco Sushi is hands down one of the best sushi spots in Toronto! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The sushi is absolutely fresh, flavorful, and beautifully crafted. Their variety of rolls, especially the pressed sushi, is a must-try!
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every detail of your visit is perfect. Whether you're dining in, grabbing takeout, or ordering delivery, the quality and presentation are consistently top-notch.
I also had the pleasure of experiencing their sushi platters for an event, and they were a huge hit – delicious, beautifully arranged, and generous portions.
Highly recommend Daeco Sushi for sushi lovers and anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I'll definitely be back for more! 🍣✨
