I came last Wednesday and it was closed - i didn’t see announcement as to why. Is this place still in business?

This is one of my go to places for cheap eats in Toronto. Nice hot broth and unlimited rice noodle refill for less than $15. Great place to go if you’re looking to carb load. Service is fast and there is ample seating so I never have to wait.

Several types of Dagu rice noodles are very delicious, especially the rattan pepper chicken steak and West Lake beef. I don’t know why all the nearby places are closed and only one is left. It’s such a pity that the remaining one is too far away.

It pains me to give this restaurant a 3/5 star review. But my past few experiences have been just okay due to the older server’s acting stingy whenever i ask for a noodle refill. I usually like to go 4 refills but the ladies almost hesitate to even accept the fact that I asked for another refill. Also, my partner wanted to take her bowl of noodle soup home as she couldn’t finish. She had a quarter of the amount of noodles from a refill and they refused to let her take home the noodles. If you’re so hesitant to let us have unlimited refills, don’t advertise that you give unlimited refills. The older workers also always refuse to give us a 10% pay with cash discount even though we’ve called multiple times confirming that they do this and we have been told all those times that they do. Someone need’s to keep those older ladies in check with their work guidelines. The younger servers have been a pleasure everytime we’ve had them. Always giving us noodles, to go containers, and 10% discount with cash everytime with no hassle. Please post their scheduled times so we can make sure we get proper A1 service.

Been coming here for years, food is great value. But service is highly questionable and inconsistent. Waitresses here are awful, have argumentative vibes and constantly question you when you ask for refills/take out containers. Didn’t let me take my noodles to go (it was a refill serving that I ordered 20 minutes prior and ate more than half of) and only let me take the soup, whisking away my half bowl of noodles that I fished out of the broth. We know the policy of not being able to order an obscene amount of noodles then taking them to go, but this restriction seemed excessive. The younger servers are typically much better and personable, as well as friendly. Only giving stars for the young gentleman with longer hair and young lady with the bangs and bob cut for great service

The stone pot is very hot, so I like to eat it warm. The price seems to be higher than before? The portion is still ok, I feel full?

Easy to eat the bowl but it didn't have as much protein as I expected.

The boiling soup is comforting for a cold day, full of flavour and a bunch of sides mixed together. The fried chicken was a bit oily for me. However, service was quick and efficient!

The food is pretty good. I keep coming here because I particularly like Helen, a 30 or 40-year-old Shanghai waiter who always has a smile. She is very kind and enthusiastic. Her service is very good, she is patient and efficient.

If you come here, I really recommend the signature braised pork noodle soup (as opposed to the crossing the bridge). It’s absolutely delicious - the broth is super flavourful and nourishing!I’ve only come for lunch, so it’s always nice and quiet. I love how calm and brightly lit this place is. The service is also pretty good!Great food, great prices, and a nice environment to eat in - not much more I could ask for!

You get what you pay for for the food there, nothing special about it.
It was our first time there. I wish their menu explains better on what each item is because the ingredients are not listed in the menu. We also know that some dishes have the ingredients on the side and some have the ingredients in the broth. But we had no idea which section of the menu is which, the names doesn’t make any sense to us.
The service is basically non-existing. No water was given to us until we asked. ALL the cups that were provided to us was dirty, and at this point we decided to drink from our water bottle instead.
The place itself was quite nice, I would give full points for the atmosphere if it wasn't for the noises from the staff. The staff was dividing the dishes into different bins and all we could hear is dishes clanking. They were not the sound that you normally hear when working with dishes, but it was the sound of dropping bowls and chopsticks from above into plastic bins on the ground. Because this was done in the corner of the seating area with wall partition to block our views, it was super loud for everyone eating in this place especially it echo a bit. Our entire time in this place, we have heard at least 4 different times where the dishes drop to the ground. Annoying AF
