I've lived in Ontario for 35 years since I was a kid and this is the first place in the GTA that even comes close to Montreal style pizza. Danforth Pizza House is now my go to!!!! Love it!

Their House Special is one of the best in Toronto from what I have had so far!
This place was around for several decades you just can't go wrong even though it's outside the Lee side area it's still in East York. Number one!

The staff and management at this restaurant were very friendly. I really enjoyed their pizza. I had the mushroom and green pepper slice, which cost $6 and was delicious. If I want to have pizza again, I will definitely come back here.

The best pizza, made with fresh ingredients by some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The house special will never dissapoint. Don't even get me started on the cheese and homemade sauce. Recent renos to the space upgraded, but owners salvaged the 50+ years nostalgic signs, etc...
Total pros.

Absolutely the best authentic pizza in the city made by expert pizza makers ...a must try for all pizza lovers....try it once and you will make it your go to when you feel like real pizza like i have for 40 years...top notch
I was strolling down the Danforth and saw the pizza in their window and I was thinking they must sell slices because I saw somebody eating a slice out on the sidewalk, and I got a little excited. So I went in and asked for a slice. Now the sign outside it did say I think peppers, mushroom, and pepperoni, but the pizza slice was very large but it only had pepperoni. I sat inside on the stool facing a wall and it was $6 and with that Coke Zero can it was $8.50. But because it looked so tasty I'm thinking okay once in awhile. The crust was very thin if you took a pita round and pulled it apart and used one portion it was charred on the bottom and the top edge crust The pepperoni I took a piece off to taste it and there was really no saltiness to it there was no cured flavor that it was pretty much flavorless. The cheese I couldn't taste the cheese and it was so thin, the tomato sauce was almost non-existent. It was like if you had brushed your teeth and then started eating something and you had no taste. So it was pretty tasteless and so for $8:50 I wouldn't go back. I kept eyeballing the salt on the counter but I was afraid that I might insult them and so I didn't but it might have added flavor to the otherwise flavorless slice of pizza. And far too thin there was just no substance.
This is the first time I responded to feedback over a review.
Instead of taking on the honest feedback, offereing a second try with some humility. Or offering to suggest trying an individaul pizza. (At my expense , of course!) You chose to throw shade based on my other reviews. Those all were honest reviews, and if the restaurants took on the feedback and made changes instead of making excuses , they could retain clients.
I would have loved to make this Pizza place my go to, even with $8.50 for a slice and can.
