Placed an order on May 7th, and like so many others here, it has been sitting in pre-shipment for a month now. I asked when it was considered lost so that I could get a refund and was told that is not an option. Being charged for an item and then not receiving it a month later is unacceptable. This is the worst experience that I have had with a company in a very long time.
Hey DAVIDsTEA after repeated emails and no response how can I get some resolution for order #2547928 ? $84 dollars is a lot and you should prioritize your customers!!! It’s been in “pre-shipment “ since may 9th!!!!! This is unacceptable!!!!!!
used to love this company but it has gone to garbage. placed an order early May, got a tracking email but the package never shipped. customer service is now AI and absolutely awful when they DO respond. cannot recommend these teas anymore.
Awful AI customer service. I realized right after I placed my order that my address was wrong. I reached out to them before it was shipped and they said it was too late even though it was still in their warehouse. They refused to pull the order and re-route it. When it got returned to them I reached out yet again and they said it had been delivered even though the tracking clearly states "returned to sender". At the end of the email it clearly stated that it was written by AI.
Davids Tea used to be great but not so anymore! I have not received tea that was ordered in Nov and I have sent email after email to them without so much as a reply or acknowledgment of my problem! I would not recommend them anymore since their customer service no longer exists and they have my money but I don’t have my tea! Terrible way to treat a long-standing customer!
my last order was very short with most of it not present, ive been trying to get a hold of them for over a month to report to get my money back or my order and cannot get any confirmation. feeling ripped off
I visited the Davids tea in store location at Toronto Eaton Centre recently. I have a $50 E gift card that I would’ve like to have redeemed. Instead, I was informed by one of the customer service associates, “ you cannot use your DAVIDsTEA gift card here. We are updating our software.” so now I’m left with $50 of a gift card that I can’t use at David’s tea but it’s a davids tea gift card. This literally makes no sense.
A lot of performative sustainability claims and few actual commitments. The design and advertising style are gearing toward greenwashing. They do not supposedly taste bad, but you are better finding good specialized tea elsewhere.
Poor customer service at this store. Upsetting cause I liked the tea options but I definitely won’t visit or buy from David’s Tea again. It looks like David’s Tea employee can treat a client poorly and David’s Tea team supports this behaviour cause this is not the first comment here.
The service is fine, the teas also seem fine(?)

Today I visited David's Tea at Eaton Center and had a mixed experience. The concept of the store is excellent, offering a fantastic variety of teas and some exciting new drinks to go. The selection is impressive, featuring a range of flavors and blends that cater to all tastes, making it a great spot for tea enthusiasts looking to explore new options.
However, my visit was marred by disappointing customer service. Unfortunately, the service at this location fell short of expectations. The staff member who served us was notably rude and seemed disinterested in her job. Her demeanor was off-putting and affected the overall enjoyment of our visit. It's essential for customer-facing roles to have staff who are not only knowledgeable but also courteous and engaged. In this case, the lack of professionalism was a significant downside.
It's a shame because David's Tea has a solid concept and a diverse product range that should make for a pleasant experience. I hope that the management addresses the service issues at this location, as it could greatly improve the customer experience. If there's any chance of feedback reaching higher-ups, it would be beneficial for them to take a closer look at this particular situation and ensure that all staff maintain a positive and pleasent experience

Customer service is not the best. If they deem you don't have money, then they will keep an eye on you, and not offer samples, or gifts. Happened several times. Wish the guy who worked at st.clair and yonge was in charge, he introduced me to new teas, and bought there regularly. Now I just go to T.Kettle.
