Detroit Pizzeria (Detroit Style Pizza)

I had a great experience here. The food is excellent and the people’s hospitality left a lasting impression. It’s hard not to eat here every day given it’s so close to my house.

Perfect escape from the cold. Delicious food and great service. I ordered a small Korean Fried Chicken Pizza with hot sauce dip (the small is actually quite large for one person). Kudos to owners and staff!

Small business, great food. Wings are very good. They do Detroit style pizza very well, if u want something light and thin, this isn’t the style. It’s fresh, airy, crispy, and the tomatoe sauce is my favourite part. Will return when in the area, close to Bathurst station.

WOW! There are two words that very accurately and succinctly define this pizza: Decadent and Delicious!

I ordered the large pepperoni with bacon and their BBQ wings for my visit today. The pizza really stole the show with the tanginesd of their tomato sauce and the quality of the mozzarella they use.

Each bite was harder to resist from the last, and I had to literally restrain myself from inhaling the pizza in one sitting. Yes, it's that good!

I will DEFINITELY be patronizing this pizzeria, and you should too! After all, this is a local, small businesses that deserves great patronage.

Reply to the owners response: that was not chicken. It was either mushroom or spinach but it definitely was not chicken. We have ordered this multiple times before. There were 3 pieces of chicken total on the entire pizza.

Don't you love paying $40 for 2 pizzas and you get 3 measly pieces of chicken on it?

To be honest, when I visited this restaurant it didn’t feel very welcoming. I walked in, looked at the menu, and could hear the staff talking loudly in the back, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The space also felt crowded — not because of people, but because of how the tables were arranged. Overall, the layout and vibe didn’t feel inviting enough for us to stay or place an order. Since we left without eating, I can’t give a food review, but the first impression wasn’t great.

Do yourself a favour and skip this pizza. Tried this pizza again after almost a year because of a promotion… big mistake. The dough is so tough it could be used as building material seriously, felt like chewing on cardboard or toilet paper. I remembered my experience last time so I gave a fair warning to the chef but they made it even worse. Sure, it looks nice from the top with a glop of sauce and a few pieces of halal meat, but that’s just window dressing. $50 before the promo for this? Nope. I wouldn’t even pay $5. Pizza Pizza tastes better, and that’s saying something.

This pizza is delicious, the ingredients are fresh and high quality, and the servers are excellent, especially Rehna. The price is right, and the interior is clean and lively but not too loud to prevent a nice conversation.

Pizza was like 4.5 out of 5. But I gave it 5 because they have halal option and it's priced well especially on Uber eats when I got 2 pizzas for $25 in Septembe 2025. There is another pizza in east Toronto that serves Detroit style which is a bit better, has won competition but is more expensive for the halal chicken option.
