Detroit Pizzeria – Big Flavors in a Low-Key Setting

This cozy, mostly takeout spot on Bathurst delivers bold, satisfying flavors without the bells and whistles. The space is functional, with just a few tables, but the food and friendly service steal the spotlight.

We kicked things off with the Bulgarian salad—a fresh, colorful mix of cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives, and shredded feta. Each bite was crisp and refreshing, and the light vinaigrette tied everything together beautifully.

Our main dish was a large Detroit-style pizza, split between Margherita and Motor City. The crust was thick, golden, and had those signature crispy, caramelized edges that make Detroit pizza such a treat. The Margherita half was simple and bright with tomato sauce and fresh basil. The Motor City half, loaded with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions, was a showstopper—cheesy, hearty, and perfectly balanced.

Service was warm and attentive, with staff happy to walk us through the menu and offer recommendations. Portions were more than generous—we took half the pizza home.

This pizza was amazing!!!! So cheesy and flavourful, perfect texture of dough. Really loved the place itself too, clean and air conditioned so you can enjoy on a hot day. Service was great too, very sweet

Needs to be renamed Detroit Pizzeria and Wing Hut! Their wings are incredible and their pizza is fantastic. Whether you go for a classic or choose to go over the top with toppings, you will find much satisfaction. Also, their homemade garlic sauce is a home run. Out of the park. Loyalty earned.

I am Co-Artistic Director of Kaeja and Co-Developed Porch View Dances with my wife Karen. Detroit Pizza has supported Kaeja and PVD for the past two years providing pizza's for our closing party filled with dozens of performers, staff and technicians of our annual Festival. With over 70 individuals involved, they raved and absolutely love Detroit Pizzeria - their pizzas, amazing people, and generous support of local community arts events. 10/10 always! I ordered through uber eats and did not meet my expectations.

The pizza came as if it was sitting on the over for a while. I ordered extra cheese and it had no extra cheese. The wings were 80% bread crumps 20% meat.

I think there are better wings and pizza spots.

Had a craving for Detroit pizza. Thankfully, I didn't have to travel far!! Detroit Pizzeria is conveniently located in Toronto, where my friends and I enjoyed these yummy square pizzas:

Motor City (cheeeeeesy)
Korean Fried Chicken (great Alternatively to the conventional)
Cancun (this one has a nice little kick)

We also ordered:
Burrata salad (refreshing and light)
Stuffed veal meatballs (omg so good)
Wings (yummy flavour)

I liked how the pizzeria has both alcoholic and non alcohol drinks. The fruit teas were superb!!

Service was pretty fast. The pizzas came nice and hot, and the person was friendly. What a nice chillazing feast to start my 2025!!!
