Diner Seoul is a perfect place for those who enjoy Korean cuisine, but would like to try another take at it. You can tell that the chef tries different ideas and creates their version of the familiar dishes, and I think that deserves many stars for a city like Toronto where there aren't too many innovators. I'm hoping that they have interesting dishes for different seasons, for I'd like to see what ideas that the chef has.
The restaurant itself is a cute, small and cozy space with about 24 seats available. I visited with about 16 people and had a great time ?
I highly recommend this place for dates, the atmosphere is perfect for couples who would like to dine with a comforting vibe, interesting yet not-so-strange dishes and kind services.
Looking forward to visiting you again!

Fantastic meal at Diner Seoul last night! Friendly, fast and professional service, and absolutely delicious food! The decor is very basic, but very clean, and the quality of the food more than compensates for whatever may be lacking in ambience. We tried a number of dishes, and the standouts were definitely the "Caesar salad" (more a hot charred Napa cabbage dish than a traditional Caesar salad), the beef tartare, and the KFC. My absolute favorite thing, though, was the sauce that accompanied the corn ribs, which is called a "bulgogi aioli", and which tasted to me like miso brown butter. Phenomenal! However, everything was delicious! Highly recommended.

An absolute gem!! Always amazed by their creative dishes and classic yet complex flavours. Service is fantastic. Highly recommend ?
Stopped in for lunch and was blown away by this wonderful restaurant. My wife and I split the sweet and spicy crispy chicken sandwich ($14) and the Gochujang Shakshuka ($20). The sandwich was incredibly crispy, the bun pillowy soft, the sauce sweet without being sickly and spicy without setting your mouth on fire. The Shakshuka was savory, warm, and delicious. Split between us it was a perfect lunch I wanted to immediately try everything else on the menu. Service was very fast and full of care. The ambiance was terrific, and we had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back to try that rosti.

We dropped by on a whim while in the city and I’m so glad we did. There was so much flavour in both dishes we had and I will absolutely be thinking about that chickenburger all night. So crispy! If you’re looking for something fun and tasty that won’t break the bank, definitely stop by.

I ordered takeout: bulgogi burger, gochujang poutine and gohcujang shakshuka. Unique and absolutely delicious, with thoughtful presentation of food in separate containers containing instructions for assembly. Can't wait to dine in next time!

This is an amazing find in an already colourful and diverse part of Toronto. The food here was amazing in quality, presentation and flavour, and was served surprisingly fast. We ordered the Parsley Shrimp Rosti, the KFC Platter and the Bulgogi Burger.
I'll start with the burger: I was caught off guard! I was prepared for "just a burger with some Korean style condiments" but I was unaware I was about to eat one of the tastiest, most balanced and juiciest burgers I've ever had. The meat was perfectly cooked, fresh and juicy, and the other ingredients balanced the flavour of the meat without overpowering it, while still letting me know it's more than just a burger. I could definitely taste the subtle Korean inspiration. Nothing was soggy, overly greasy or messy about it, and I am still genuinely impressed! The cherry on top was that the serving of fries was on the larger side too, and they were consistently cooked, crispy and well seasoned.
Next up, the Rosti: we're already fans of Korean food, but the fusion touch with these dishes added some great novelty while not being pretentious or ruining the basic flavours that make this cuisine what it is. The added crisp of the noodles was very welcome on top of a very fresh and flavourful pancake with generous amounts of shrimp, making the price all the more impressive! The noodle topping did not make it overly dry, and it quickly started absorbing the juices of the pancake making this dish texturally interesting and comforting in flavour.
The Korean Fried Chicken was VERY soft and tender, with a fresh and crispy batter and not too greasy either. The seasoning was perfect, the dip was good and the carrots and celery were a great side to crunch on in between chicken pieces, and were also fresh and clean. The dip was good (ranch), nothing to complain about but also not impressive by itself. It did compliment the chicken nicely with some zest and creaminess, but the chicken on its own was already hard to improve!
The server was very polite, efficient and pleasant. Not overbearing with "is everything good?" every 2 minutes, but not avoidant either. Perfectly balanced service and good English as well. Not to say that language skill makes restaurant service inherently better, but it's always nice when language barrier isn't a factor when ordering. The atmosphere was great, and the music was at an adequate level. A lot of great songs played, both modern and classic, and we found ourselves humming along while enjoying our delicious food. The decor is also good, not necessarily impressive but also not worth bashing. It was definitely on the nicer side in the context of its neighbourhood. The only drawback was that it's right next to a somewhat busy intersection, which is subject to noise when the window is open (we were seated right by it), but that's kind of a double-edged sword: it also made for interesting people-watching while having our meal!
This instantly became a top recommendation in our books, we're definitely visiting again to try more dishes!

Very good food. Very cheerful service. Quaint but on the small side. Only down side was the hall way to the bathrooms was a little dark which could be disconcerting for people with any visual impairments. Bathrooms are down a flight of stairs, but I don't know if they have an alternate wheel chair accessible bathroom or elevating device to the bathrooms.
Parking: We were lucky to get a free parking spot on the side street. I didn't look for other parking options.
Wheelchair accessibility: It maybe a tight fit for wheel chairs as it was a tight fit for my wife's walker. There is a shallow ramp as the entrance is at ground level. No power door provided.

One of the top Korean restaurants in the city! It offers an incredible fusion of Korean, French, and Western cuisines.
This place competes with the best restaurants around.
The value is outstanding—most dishes are under $16 each. Despite the affordable prices, the quality is absolutely excellent and portion sizes are generous. It's reminiscent of the kinds of spots you'd find on the Ossington strip.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this restaurant earns a Michelin Bib Gourmand as it becomes more established in the St. Clair area.
The standout dish is the Kimchi Aioli Salad. Even as someone who typically avoids vegetables, I found it absolutely amazing.
I highly recommend this restaurant for an exceptional value and quality meal that would easily cost 2-3 times more if it were in Downtown Toronto.
Thanks for the amazing meal!
