Elijah helped us. He was friendly and accommodating. Appreciate him taking the time to explain our choices. Every time food comes, the server explains what it is we are getting. Appreciate that. Overall it was a great date night! Will definitely recommend to friends.

Loved the care that Elijah and the bar staff provided us at the lounge, and our waitress Amanda and her team were really good with explaining all the ingredients for each dish. Over all great team effort and amazing unique dishes. Made our anniversary special

As always Don Alfonso maintain their Michelin status. This time, we tried the A La Carte and it was phenomenal.

Very disappointing. Lots of pop and circumstance.... Food quality not good. Felt some dishes were overcooked, some didn't taste good and some simply arrived cold. Lots of Post meal digestive issues. Do not recommend.

An exquisite experience from start to finish. The service was impeccably attentive without being intrusive, and every course felt like a piece of art. A truly memorable evening at Don Alfonso.

Worth every dollar and every moment of our time. Our first Michelin experience and boy did they deliver. We cannot say more than that...perfection on every level. Thank you for our adventure.

This restaurant continues to be very impressive. My favourite restaurant in Canada. The Head Chef, Davide is very friendly and humble despite his many achievements. Stop by the kitchen and watch as the attention to detail goes into each dish. Overall, very welcoming. Outstanding food and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Exceptional experience and well deserving of the Michelin star! The tasting menu was one of the best ones I've ever had, and the wine pairings were a brilliant match with each respective course.

Food was fantastic. Ambience was great . Everything was going so so well. Until we found out our table of four was charged 60 dollars for water. Server gave us a choice of sparking or still water. She did not give us a third choice like tap water We chose still water and the server kept on refilling our glasses with unlabeled open bottled water ,which we assumed was Toronto tap water. Usually bottled water has a brand name like Acqua Panna Toscana or Kirkland. After the end of our meal my wife noticed that every table was served water with a jug not an unlabeled bottle like ours. Was our server going to charge us for what appeared to be tap water because it was served in an unlabeled bottle and not an unlabeled jug? Oh yes she did. This really ruined our overall experience. Shame the server was not upfront like the servers who served jugs of free Toronto tap water instead.

I have been to this restaurant on multiple occasions and each time the experience gets better. This service was outstanding along with the ambience. The food was out of this world with attention to detail in both presentation and in preparation. Our recommendation is, that if this is something that one can afford it is worth the experience.

My friend and I were sat next to the kitchen door which banged constantly. Noise was above normal due to the lack of noise absorption by carpet, furnishings, walls, etc.. Our waiter was middle-of-the-road but seemed distracted. Food was good and the view is spectacular.

From start to finish, it was a lovely experience. Each bite was full of flavor and the wine pairing was curated very well.

We visited a few months ago and booked lounge seating. Upon arrival, the staff told us that only the tasting menu was available in the lounge, and if we wanted the lounge menu we would need to move to the bar. Both the booking website and the phone confirmation clearly stated that the lounge menu was available in the lounge, so this was confusing. After questioning this twice, and we accepted to move to the bar table, they eventually relented and gave us the lounge menu and told us to stay where we were.

As for the food: we ordered salad, mini burgers, lobster tempura, pasta, beef carpaccio, and cocktails. Unfortunately, everything was bland and under-seasoned. The tempura was just thick, oily breading, and the burgers were flavorless. The dessert platter tasted like frozen grocery-store sweets, not what you’d expect at this price point. The breads and caprese salad (the complimentary one) are the only good things in the meal.

Service was equally disappointing. While we were still eating dessert, the waiter wordlessly placed the bill and card machine on the table — something I’ve never even experienced at casual chain restaurants.

TLDR: the food was below average and not worth the price, and the service left a very poor impression. On top of that, it felt like they were tricking guests toward the expensive tasting menu in a misleading way. We’re glad we didn’t go with it.
Doesn’t worth the Michelin Star.
