Furniture is too old and seats were worn and looked dirty. I kept sanitizing my hands with hand sanitizer Food did not meet my expectations either.

Amazing place!! Great food and wonderful service! The rooftop was lovely!!
We went as a work function which presented us with a limited menu. I selected the Veal Marsala. The meat was not great, but we are a large group and it may have sat. Something very apparent was that my order is wrong.
I checked my co-workers, and everybody that got Veal had their order wrong. The menu said all entree come with vegetables and potatoes. I was expecting mash potatoes and some squash. What did I get? Penne in a cream sauce.
Even more interesting is my neighbors salmon. It looked more like chicken. They also received pasta and not the entree potatoes and vegetables. A person who ordered steak was the only one with a correct order.

If I could give this review a 100 stars, I would! It’s a family owned restaurant with passionate and friendly owners. The owner served us himself and then Joey, our server, provided us with exceptional service for the rest of our dining experience! The food was the best I’ve ever had - we’re leaving with full bellies & hearts. What a wonderful experience!

Great Italian food. My server was so accommodating, offered us a private room for our group and very friendly. I wish I remembered his name. More of a mature look and feel than we expected but classy.

Visited the restaurant today for celebrating a birthday. The staff experience wasn’t great. Had to request for a better spot 3 times before a decent one was offered, even though the restaurant was pretty empty the whole time we were there.
For placing the order the server insisted on placing all the food order at once as they were expecting a big group later. This to me is rushing us to order, eat and then leave.
Tried the eggplant goat cheese antipasti and the mushroom noodles, both were good not great.
Overall perhaps due to the restaurant’s 35 year old history they have built a regular clientele and serve them well. But for today’s higher standards of service and guest empathy this place falls short.
I wish them best but not planning to visit again.

I've come here several times over the tears, and never had a bad meal, love their tortellini. People I have sent here loved it and never heard a single complaint. They are truly a testament to the Elm Street landscape known for the high quality food, and calm atmosphere, and friendly welcoming professionals you'd come to expect in that single block.
I recommend Elm Street, but I really recommend Donatello's for your next meal or occasion.
