Francesco was amazing - he gave great food recommendations but he was such a personality in the best way! Our whole table adored him, and I would come back just for the atmosphere. Food was amazing as well - and trust the recommendations!

Shoutout to Tibor for absolutely crushing it with our huge group of 20+ people. No mistakes, no waiting around, just great service all night. Food was on point and everyone left happy. Give this man a raise. Honestly made our night!

Tonight we went to Donatello Restaurant on Elm Street Toronto. Wonderful ambiance, fantastic service, and food was delicious. It was our second time there and we will definitely be back when we are in Toronto.
I dined here in December 2025, I only wished that I lived in Toronto and could return!
The service is very attentive, warm, and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and feels very european. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because near the end of the evening, the music selection switched to something more jarring than had been playing. I don't know if this was at a customers request and we did not mention it to our server as we were finishing up our visit.
We shared a bruschetta to begin - the tomatoes were so fresh with a good balance of flavours. Very enjoyable.
My partner in crime had tortellini, that he enjoyed very much. I didn't feel comfortable sharing so I can't speak to the flavours. What I will happily speak to is my own meal, the seafood linguini - I don't recall the exact name, my apologies to Donatello's! It came with HEAPS of seafood! I almost had to search to find the pasta, which is not typically the case in such dishes. Heaps of calamari rings, mussels, and shrimp. So good!
We finished with ices - my friend had spamone (sic?) ice cream while I had the lemon sherbert. The sherbert was a refreshing end to my meal.
We had a nice chat with the server and owner or manager as we completed our stay.
I highly recommend this little gem on Elm Street, you wouldn't be disappointed!

Excellent food. Server was attentive, friendly and very professional. We felt welcomed from the start. There were a lot of specials on the board outside and one of us ordered the lobster spaghetti (special) which was spectacular and was served piping hot, the other main was a veal and shrimp pasta dish and was also very very good. We shared bruschetta which was delicious and the table bread was perfect. Don’t leave without trying their homemade crème brûlée.

Jock in his wife run a beautiful restaurant. The food is fantastic. A pleasure to your pallet. The wines are superb and they treat you like family. Thanks Jacque Bill from the Sault.

Furniture is too old and seats were worn and looked dirty. I kept sanitizing my hands with hand sanitizer Food did not meet my expectations either.
