I stopped by this spot last week while walking through the neighbourhood, and it was a pleasant surprise. The place is small but clean, with a steady flow of people coming in for coffee and treats. The staff were friendly and moved things along quickly without making the visit feel rushed. I tried a couple of donuts, and they tasted fresh without being overly sweet. It’s also easy to get to, just off Pape, which makes it convenient for a quick stop. Overall, a nice little bakery...
We got a box of 6 inclusing Boston cream, venetian, strawberry, apple fritter and cream puff. With the exception of the fritter, they were light and a bit spongey. The flavours were just okay, and on the bland side. The fritter was heavy and had a very fried flavour.
It's like a time machine to a simpler time. Good donuts and coffee available 24/7. Their donuts are airy, chocolate dip is great, the fritters are always gone so they're good. Not a lot of seats other than for the regulars. Just a nice neighbourhood place where everyone knows your name.
