This simple combination of choux pastry* with hazelnut and almond praline cream is just as beloved in France today as it was when it was first created in 1910. The cream, whole free-range eggs and pure butter it contains make the difference. *Note that the wheat flour used in France to make this dough is NOT enriched. A mustard without preservatives? If the Fallot mustard factory had already taken the step for grainy mustards or certain flavoured mustards, which do not undergo any alteration in quality and preservation without sulphites, the challenge for smooth mustards such as Dijon mustard was more difficult to take up. Indeed, they are much more prone to oxidation than their cousins, smooth mustards tend to change colour and take on an oxidised taste in the absence of added sulphites. Fallot's Dijon mustards contain only about 0.2% sulphite per kilogram of mustard, which is only enough to prevent natural oxidation. Nevertheless, in order to meet the demands of the most demanding customers, they now offer you this Dijon mustard without preservatives ! Four to five sardines are carefully trimmed in their case before being served with a variety of seaweed and whole capers. Marine plants blend perfectly well with the flavor of the flowery condiment and offer a tasty alliance with multiple benefits. I accidentally stumbled across Douce France while on the Danforth last weekend. I'm glad I did! They addressed me in French, and I had the opportunity to use French I hadn't used in over 5 years!

Lots of yummy treats: chocolates, cookies, candies, spreads, etc. I walked out with quite a few of these things!

And the employees are so very friendly and helpful (and patient with my poor French!).
