Three weeks ago, I went to Downsview Park Merchants Market & Farmers Market to buy a travel bag. I clearly explained I needed a lightweight suitcase because I can only take 23 kg overseas. The seller insisted a heavier one was better quality, so I bought it, but it weighed 5 kg — too heavy for my back and neck, and it left me with 5 kg less of my 23 kg travel allowance.
I politely returned to request a lighter one. Finally, the owner replaced one with a canvas suitcase weighing 2.5 kg, saying it was the last exchange.
Shortly after, a plain-clothes security person followed me and my friend around the market, which made me feel harassed and unsafe. I did nothing wrong — I only tried to exchange an item that didn’t meet my needs. Management should ensure all customers are treated with respect and feel safe.

This place is incredible!
Went there for the produce and was pleasantly surprised by the prices. It’s definitely cheaper than grocery stores however the quality might not always be the best. Aside from produce you can find almost everything here - clothes, jewelry, car accessories/ parts, skin/ hair products, perfumes, furniture, wall art, suitcases, phone accessories, and the list goes on. There are also a few restaurants selling reasonably priced food. All in all it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be going back.
Side note: it’s cash only
What an absolutely incredible experience, the food court was the best part of this flea market. The food was both delicious and affordable. The shops are also amazing and you can buy really great products here for really cheap.
Places like these are the heart and soul of our city and we must want to preserve them forever.

It's a good place to buy cheap fruits and vegetables.
Edwards honey is the fakest stuff ever. We bought a small jar and could sense that it was fake from its consistency and taste. Then we ran tests and it failed all those. Seriously don’t trust the owner or products.
Always my favorite market to go for getting great deals!
