great deal for a filling, balanced meal!! i got their soy chicken which came with cabbage, bok choy, and a delicious sauce all on top of fluffy rice. didn’t realize the chicken was bone-in but that’s on me for not checking.. 😅 overall, i was satisfied and i only spent $11.30 in total (cash only!!!)

Such a hidden gem! Kinda of hidden in plain sight spot… the portions are huge… $10 for giant plate of BBQ pork and veg on rice… ask for extra sauce!

The char siu lai fun is a great value at $10. The meat portion is generous and their noodles and soup are fresh and delicious.

I have considered trying the braised beef but I'm hooked on the char siu. Please keep in mind that this is a cash only establishment.

The woman at the counter (I presume the owner) is friendly and remembers my order after only going a few times. I even got my white friend to order in cantonese all by himself and she was apparently quite encouraging with his attempt.

They do seem quite sad and lonely, overshadowed by the other shops in the food court. Please support them as they make good food at a great price!

I was always curious about thus place whenever I passed it and so I decided to try it today and I am not disappointed! The lady there was really nice! I ordered the noodle soup with beef and it was really delicious! 100% recommended. But just a note, they are cash only.

if there was only a single definition for hidden gem, it would be this restaurant. don’t be fooled by it’s simple name and inconspicuous appearance: duck serves some of the best chinese BBQ meat at a price that undercuts expectations. I ordered the BBQ pork with veggies and rice, which came out to 8 dollars and had tender, flavorful meat comparable to what you might find at a chinese meat market or grocery. lovely mom and pop couple who run the restaurant. be sure to support this local business if you’re looking for food in the yonge college area!
‼️be aware they are CASH ONLY

Duck tasted authentic. Soy chicken with ginger scallion on it was spot on. As good as any shop in Chinatown.

I ordered a duck rice with a braised egg. The duck meat was tender and the juice was delicious. The braised egg was soft and slightly tasty. Overall it was delicious.
