Visited Eat Nabati on a recent trip to Toronto. I was actually quite excited to visit this restaurant because we don’t really get Egyptian food back home and I had heard some good reviews about this place. Located in the Kensington market area, Eat Nabati has lovely décor. The friendly staff were very welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious Egyptian falafel with salad and Egyptian eggplant wrap. Really loved the fact that it was fresh food, and a nice blend of spices. The restaurant also has a selection of board games if you want to just chill with friends in a café afterwards. When I’m back in Toronto, I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes!

Really nice owner, and the soy-based bowl was very flavourful. Probably decent amount of protein. You can sit by the windows and get a good view of people walking by during a busy weekend in Kensington. The portions are a bit small for the price (bowl is a bit shallow), hence the 4/5. I just had a shawarma bowl — it was very tasty and fresh! The portion was generous, and the price was very reasonable. The staff were also friendly and kind. I highly recommend this place!

We went here for a late lunch on a weekday. There were a few other customers, but it was a quiet time to go. I ordered the chick'n shawarma bowl and my partner ordered the falafel bowl. We both really enjoyed our food, and he said it was the best falafel he'd ever had. The hummus was excellent, made in-house, and everything was made fresh with care and attention, right down to the pickled turnip. Our drinks were also delicious, a mint lemonade for me and a hibiscus infused juice for him. The staff were polite and friendly, and I was surprised at how fast our food came out of the kitchen. We'll be going back again, and I recommend everyone reading this to do likewise!

From the moment you come in, you know you are set to a good experience.
The smell, the service and always good playlist on the background.
And of course, the food never disappoints.

My personal favourite is anything with falafel, but seriously anything will do the trick here.

Thank you for creating a vegan option of such a treat cuisine.

Gracias amigo!

This place is my personal favorite gem. They are definitely able to show the best of plant-based cooking. I always order a Lahmajun but the falafels are also a must try. The Alexandria's shrooms is my favorites between the main dishes but I would choose something else if you don't like spicy food. All drinks available are amazing, if you have more of a sweet tooth opt for the hibiscus, otherwise the mint lemonade is very refreshing and less sweet.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff is very friendly. I would always be happy to eat here.

Came with my family and the restaurant has mixed reviews. I had the mama chicken schwarma which was good. Wife had the eggplant pita which she said was very bland. Seating is very limited and their menu options aren’t very extensive either Updated from previous review on 2025-02-02

It was a blast sitting here. Was a blast sitting here. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is great. It was not pricey and for $11, my shawarma was extremely good.

The mama shawarma was very good. It wasn't dry, it had a very rich taste and it tasted very Arabic. The workers are very welcoming and kind. The service was also very nice. Even though it is vegan it tastes as if it was real chicken. I would definitely recommend it.

My wife and I stumbled upon this little restaurant when walking through Kensington market. The restaurant is small but very cosy and smells fantastic. Moe served us today, he was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, I had the Baba Sharma bowl and my wife had the Falafal bowl. Both our meals were delicious and made fresh. This restaurant is in a great location and serves amazing food with friendly staff, we will return.
