Ed’s Real Scoop in Leslieville is a must-stop if you love quality ice cream. The moment you step inside, you’re hit with the aroma of fresh waffle cones and the sight of colorful tubs of gelato, sorbet, and ice cream calling your name.
Lisa deserves a special shout-out — she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely took the time to explain the differences between their ice cream, sorbet, and gelato. Her knowledge and enthusiasm added to the experience, and she made it easy to pick the perfect scoop.
The flavors here are incredible. Classics like creamy vanilla bean and rich chocolate are done to perfection, but it’s the adventurous options — like burnt marshmallow, pistachio, mango sorbet, and salted caramel — that make Ed’s really shine. Each scoop is packed with flavor and has that fresh, homemade quality you just can’t get from a grocery store pint.
One tip for first-timers: at the entrance there’s a sign kindly asking that if you’re with a group, only a couple of people head in to place the order. It makes sense, because the shop fills up quickly — but the line moves fast, and trust me, it’s worth the wait.
Between the stellar flavors, the friendly service, and Lisa’s welcoming energy, Ed’s Real Scoop is the kind of neighborhood spot you’ll want to keep coming back to again and again.
The gelato and ice cream was delicious. I had a waffle cone with Bacio gelato and Burnt Marshmellow ice cream. I would rate them all a 5/5!
Such polite and courteous servers. Other parties I was with had Mango 5/5 and dark chocolate gelato 4.8/5 as well as the vanilla and dark chocolate gelato 5/5 and pumpkin 5/5. We will be returning and I highly recommend you stop by and try Ed’s Real Scoop for some of the freshest and creative flavours. Amazing, keep up the phenomenal experiences. Thank you!
I tried many different flavors here, and every single one was delicious. The fruit flavors were especially impressive — the strawberry yogurt and peach yogurt were my favorites! Refreshing, tasty, and definitely worth coming back for.
Ordered 2 scoops to go- burnt marshmallow and pecan caramel i think DELICIOUS ICECREAM!! our partners got cookie icecream sandwiches also delicious.
I’m in love with this spot. It’s got the perfect flavors to offer with such amazing texture of the ice cream and the gelato too!
Had the pistachio gelato and it was so creamy! Super delicious and would come back again to try the other flavours. The waffle cone was a good add to the gelato as well.
Best gelato in town 🙏🏼
Highly recommended
Our friends went to buy ice cream, but they said there were only 3-4 flavors left in this shop. Of course, they had no marshmallow flavors left.
No words can describe the taste of the scoop i had but if i have to it would be delightfully amazing, Mango sorbet was just too good. Also we had coffee Toffee and that was too good too.
Yummy and fun to visit, especially on a warm summer night

Burnt marshmallow
Expensive over rated
The burnt marshmallow did not disappoint
Toronto but Italy :)))
I had pomegranate, pistachios, and burnt marshmallow flavours and one was better than the other. It’s so hard to choose 1-2 flavours only. Lovely place!
It’s a religious experience! Best ice cream in the city!
