I visited him on a trip to Canada eight years ago when I was living in the United States. It has a cozy and homely atmosphere, and I could see the thoughtful attention to detail in the garden planting and entrance, which made me think, ``This is a good restaurant.'' And the food proved that my intuition was correct. No, it was more than I expected. The pork roast was served with rice cooked in shellfish stock, and I was shocked when I ate it. An explosion of flavor and an overflowing sense of happiness. Eight years later, I still remember it vividly. One of the best dishes I've ever eaten in my life. Of course, all the items were excellent. The temperature of the dish, the cooking temperature, the sauce and toppings, everything is perfectly calculated and realized to perfection.
As a side note, at the time, sitting next to me, an older man who appeared to be a professional chef was having a meal with a young man who appeared to be his apprentice, and was explaining the greatness of each dish. The taste was so good that my wife agreed, ``It's a level that even professionals come to learn from.'' If it were possible, I would like to go to Edulis again.

There’s a 20% auto-gratuity on the tasting menu, even for small parties like ours (just two people). In Canada, we tip based on service quality, and we should have the right to tip less if the service doesn’t meet expectations. Servers here earn minimum wage, and tipping isn’t mandatory. This policy feels like an attempt to exploit customers.

Easily one of my favourite restaurants and Torontos best. Every dish during our coursed meal was exciting and a literal work of art. The lobster with pistachios and asparagus ?The ham ?the spot prawns? I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, get a reservation as soon as you can. Their IG announces when their books open!

Everything was phenomenal. Phillip was very attentive, fun, knowledgeable and efficient.
We added the jamón and the caviar service and both were excellent. Can’t pick stand-out dishes as everything was perfect!

Tobey Nemeth and her remarkable team crafted and executed a decadent tasting menu, brimming with creativity and locally sourced ingredients. Now, I truly understand the well-deserved accolades the restaurant has earned! If you're fortunate enough to secure a reservation, prepare yourself for a meticulously paced, savory journey that delights the eyes, nose, and palate. I can't wait to return for brunch!

Very disappointing...filter out the five and four star reviews and you will get true representation of the restaurant.
Small portions (which is expected), underwhelming flavors, long waits between courses (20 minutes plus, no exaggeration), average service at best...I could go on. As mentioned, the 1-2 Star Google reviews posted previous to mine are an accurate representation of our experience.
We have now ate at the majority of Michelin Starred Restaurants in Toronto (along with a handful in the United States) and I can say without any doubt that Edulis should not be considered in the same class with these others. There are so many other superior options in Toronto.

Let me start by saying we are very familiar with how tasting menus work and have dined at several Michelin rated spots in Toronto and US. Edulis does not deserve its Michelin ratings we were incredibly disappointed after being so excited to dine for ~1 yr. Both the food and service were below average and mediocre. We wanted to like Edulis but I cannot recommend especially for the price point. At $300+ pp there a far better options for fine dining in TO. The portions are small, as expected for fine dining but flavours are lack lustre and they rely on refilling bread constantly to keep guests satiated. This is not how you balance a 5-7 course tasting menu meal! Service was good until I commented that it had been 3.5 hours and we were still not done, and the waiter said “well it’s a tasting menu”; implying I wasn’t familiar with the concept. Pls save your $$, don’t believe the hype (restaurant is very small so limited seats which is why bookings go quickly). They run on a 5 person skeleton crew on purpose but this leaves guests with long 20-30 min gaps btwn courses. It’s really not worth the price! What a shame, makes me wonder what happened post 2023 Michelin star… two final things- we love seafood and the menu is heavy on that, so know that going in. And due to size, it gets quite noisy when full.

Allowing people to resell their reservations is super shady, should be illegal.

Got the chance to experience this One Michelin star restaurant. Service was exceptional and amazing. Very cozy and ambiance appealing. The decor and the mushrooms accents were great. Our server was top notch, explaining the details of the 7 courses and complimentary amuse bouche, where selected etc. especially from their locally available garden. Time spent here was an experience.

We really wanted to like this place. It was incredibly difficult to get a table and it took a few months.
Firstly, the service was OK and the optional extra Jamon and cheese course were both great. The drinks were also good.
However, all of the rest of the food was bland and the portions were tiny. It also took forever with way too long in-between courses.
Even with purchasing two extras, we were still hungry. The main event was a tiny sliver of chicken and a small piece of sausage. The lobster course was three very small pieces, it seemed like they used 1 lobster for the whole restaurant.
We've had tasting menus at many restaurants all over the world and just don't get the popularity of this one.
Nothing special and I expect a tasting menu to be enough food without adding courses.

Undoubtedly one of the best meals we've had in the city. The waiting and many attempts/failures to book over the years were well worth it.
