This might be the best tacos I’ve ever had. I can easily say the best Mexican food experience I’ve ever had. Started us off with complementary rice crackers with different sauces. Pickled vegetables were a great touch to the collection, I was obsessed with the change in pace and flavour. We also ordered table side guac which was made perfectly. Our server was super kind and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. Good portion. Perfect chip to guac ratio. The tacos were also phenomenal. Delicious assortment. Can’t recommend this spot enough! Tacos de carnitas were amazing!! Obsessed!!

I have been to El Charro on Danforth twice and will return again. The food is enjoyable, with lots of options to choose from and abundant portion sizes. Our server Alex was wonderful! He took our order cheerfully, served the meals efficiently, checked on us often, and seemed to really care that we were enjoying our experience in the restaurant. And everyone else who took care of us was friendly and happily accommodated our needs and requests. The atmosphere is easygoing and fun, and the music is played at a volume where one can enjoy it and still have a conversation, which my party appreciated. We look forward to our next visit to El Charro!
Vegetarian options: Most meat fillings can be substituted with a tasty sauteed cactus and mushroom mix.

Hector was amazing!! It was my first time to El Charro. My friends and I were excited to try the authentic Mexican restaurant. We weren't sure on what what we wanted and asked Hector what he recommend. He gave us the best recommendations!!

Had the pleasure of eating here on a Friday evening, and I had a wonderful experience! Our server Hector was an absolute delight and was attentive and quite enjoyable. All of the choices were delicious and filling for the size. We did share and try more dishes this way. I would definitely recommend this Mexican restaurant for anyone looking for reasonable prices and a wonderful atmosphere.

I visited this place for the first time and was absolutely impressed by their hospitality and the quality of food! Everything was very fresh and tasty.
