Great service. On the whole, tasty, but... those fries. Go back to good, old British chips - no breading, no herbs. Nothing fancy.
A great pre theatre dinner place. It was only steps away from the Royal Alex theatre. Food was very reasonably priced with large portions. Service was fast. Our waitress was wonderful !! Unfortunately I forget her name. We will definitely return.
This is our Go To lunch spot for our Sunday afternoon Mirvish shows whe at the Royal Alex or Princess of Wales... I've been a “when in the area” customer fod sevdral decades now and it remains, in my view, the best Pub in TO with excellent service and great food at what are, alin my view, the most reasonable prices in the downtown TO core!! ❤️🍻
We were seated under an air conditioning vent and we froze. The restaurant was way too cool. When the heat outside is extreme there's no need to have the temperature inside any lower than 24.
Mia our waitress was absolutely incredible. I am a Disney Travel Agent and believe me she belongs where people are. Warm, king, caring, went above and beyond. I would go back just because of the way we were treated. It was a work lunch.
I went for dinner and drinks a few days ago with some friends and we had a lovely time. Our server Mia took amazing care of us. She was very understanding of my friend’s gluten allergy and went above and beyond to make sure that this was accommodated. She was very friendly and made our experience extra special. The food was also delicious, and I was able to enjoy a glass of wine for $6 from the happy hour menu.
Really great service even at 11pm. Great chicken club sandwich with fries and not to busy even after the ball game
Very noisy!
Our server, Mia, was very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. A great dining experience.
Today was our first and last visit. Service was not very good, asked for ice for our coolers and received a glass with about 6 cubes in it (not joking) French dip was so fatty. Buses our own plate and asked for our bill several times.
Restaurantji Recommends
Second time visiting this restaurant prior to going to see a theatre production, and its just great! It's a convenient location, great atmosphere, the service is on point and the food is delicious!
A great experience, my first time there. We ate on the patio. A nice place.
Great sports bar to watch a game. We went for the soccer game and definitely recommend getting there a bit early because they don’t take reservations some days. Got a great table, although it was extremely loud. If you’re not going to watch the game on an important game day, and just want to chat, this isn’t the place for you. The staff is super friendly and the food is okay. Lots of options for food but I got some fish tacos that were more coleslaw than anything. I highly recommend the French fries though, they are amazing!
Absolutely loved my visit to Elephant & Castle!
The Apple Fizzy mocktail was refreshingly perfect — crisp, not too sweet, and full of flavour. It was the kind of drink you finish and wish you had one more of.
I ordered the Shepherd’s Pie, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had — rich, hearty, and comforting with just the right balance of flavours. The hot wings were equally impressive — crispy, juicy, and perfectly spiced.
Everything from the food to the service made this a memorable experience. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
The Sunday roast was extremely tough, chewy and fatty. Was very disappointed but the replacement steak pie was ok. The fish and chip my hubby had were great though!
