Food and service were exquisite. Server was kind and attentive. Food arrived in a timely manner. Great atmosphere. Was a little noisy when we were there, but there was a soccer game happening, so it's expected. Lol All in all, great food, affordable, and lovely experience.
It was a VERY chilly day however the Elephant and Castle staff ensured that we felt warm and welcome. Our orders were taken promptly and when our server realized that one of our party was celebrating a birthday we were offered a complementary birthday dessert which was warmly accepted by all! Thank you for making our group feel very special!
Many menu options. Typical pub food that is very good. The servers are always courteous and friendly.
I am a regular so i am definitely biased however the service is always good, the food amazing. there is always good entertainment at the bar if you want to watch a sports game. you cannot miss with this place. the fish and chips is really good.
Great service. Enjoyed the feta with tomato starter & the steak & kidney pie. Nice pie crust.
It was good. Need a dedicated area with reduced noise level. Ramps instead of steps inside restaurant
As we had tickets to the theatre, my friend and I appreciated the prompt service from getting our table, ordering our food, the arrival of our food and requesting our bill. All the servers were polite and friendly.
Partner and I visited for dinner before a Mirvish show. We both had the Sunday Roast Beef dinner - good sized serving with delicious Yorkshire pudding. Partner had the Ale and Onion soup to start, and declared it the best he had tasted anywhere (and a large bowlful). I had the cream of mushroom soup of the day, brimming with sliced mushrooms. Bread pudding for dessert left us needing the short walk to the Royal Alex theatre! We were beside a group there for a birthday, and it was a little noisy but still fun. Great service.
Solid pup food every time. Lochlyn had an easy smile, kept our glasses filled and made some great recommendations.
Excellent pub style food, not noisy, friendly atmosphere, close to theatres and Thomson Hall.

Great vibes and a solid, dedicated gluten-free menu, which is always appreciated. That said, despite all the good there is to say, I'm still highly disappointed that they removed No Boats on Sunday cider from the menu. It was a standout, and its absence is definitely felt.
We come quite often for lunch when going to a show at Mirvish. Service is always quick and delivery of food is quick as well and always delicious. Never been late for our show. Each server and hostess are very pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant for any time of the day.
We were there for lunch and the restaurant was full. Sonya waited in our table and we had exemplary service with a smile. She checked in regularly and kept one of our guests teapot full! Not only did she provide us with attentive and friendly service, we observed her doing the same at all the tables in our section.
Forget dessert!! The appetizers and main courses are decadent, filling, and priced fairly; you won't need them and you'll walk away feeling spoiled by the portion sizes and the incredible staff. The staff was friendly, the food high quality, and the location easy to access. 11/10 Chicken pot pie - 5/5 stars (will have to try the pie flight sometime) Fries - 5/5 stars House salad - 5/5 stars Service - 5/5 stars
Our server was excellent. Her recommendations were spot on . We were in and out in time for theatre, but not rushed. Food was very good
