If for no other reason, come for the breakfast sandwich. I dream about it sometimes. It’s like no other I’ve had in the city. I highly recommend it. Oh and the coffee and other pastries are also excellent.
Empire has been my go to spot for my weekend caffeine hit. It is a community gathering spot with lots of regulars. The original owner, Sarah, did a great job of remembering customers, falling in love with their dogs and creating a welcoming environment for everyone. She recently sold the business and the new owners have done a great job of keeping the quality of the coffee and food. Love this place. I've been going here more often to bring subjects before I shoot. Super friendly people and cutely decorated. A little pricey for students but worth it and their scones are dope. Definitely gonna bring more people here.
