The restaurant is gorgeous. Expectations are probably too high given the Michelin star. First issue was the noise was very uncomfortable. Staff super friendly and our server was very nice. However some of the staff felt a bit junior reaching over the table for cleaning and not a lot of attention to detail. The bread and burrata were spectacular. We did not enjoy the Fave e Cicoria or the Carne Crudo. Agnolotti ai Funghi was yummy. Tagliatelle and pork ragu were very disappointing: the pasta was delicious but the sauce was flavourless. Tiramisu was delicious. Drinks were also great. Loved the spritz. Overall we paid way too much money and left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
We sat at the Chef's counter for a 6 course meal for $100 each. It was well worth it with great service from the staff and chef. Lots of food so go there hungry.
Been here many times, usually love it but the service was poor. Took 30+ minutes for our food order to be taken, without an explanation. We didn't receive our main courses until 1+ hours after we'd been seated. We were planning to get dessert but sadly the service was so poor we decided to leave. The portion sizes also seem to be getting smaller
Love the ambience and delicious food! We enjoyed the carne crudo and ceci alla carbonara appetizers especially! We got the bucatini and gnocchi as well which were yummy (a little too spicy for my friend haha). The branzino was also amazing! Tiramisu was perfect. We celebrated my friends birthday and they put a candle on it for us as well ;)
Food was good but dinner portions were rather small. A mushroom pasta that's $37.00 with tax and tip should be a more generously plated—by a third.
We've eaten several times now at Enoteca Sociale and have been delighted each time. Pasta is very good (I had the Rigatoni with octopus this time) as are the appetizers. Portions are not huge, so you can sample multiple different things and leave feeling quite satisfied with both the variety and quality of the food.
Not the Enoteca Sociale from years ago. The apps were good, but all the pasta dishes were bland. The service was disappointing with terrible attitude, and not attentive. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but at some point, it impacts the entire experience.
Excellent service. The food was under specifications of Michelin's guide. Nothing was warm enough. Over rated. André Denis Montréal
Overall the dining experience was very nice and the service was excellent. Really attentive, friendly staff. Food overall was only ok, however. We expected better considering the price tag and reviews.
Music is pleasant and energetic, but I wonder what might happen if the ambience turned into quiet, intimate and happy conversation instead of shouted discussion . . .

We had the most sublime dinner at ES recently. Everything was delish and the staff was attentive and nice. The atmosphere was lively, the music was complimentary - its a Toronto institution for a reason! Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

Came here as it was a recommended place to try - the food was great and we were happy to be seated 20 mins before our reservation.
The atmosphere is casual and we loved the open kitchen concept that allowed us to watch our food get prepared. Service overall was good but could improve - we waited a long time to order our dessert that we just ended up not wanting to wait any longer.
We had the sourdough bread with arancini, cacio e Pepe, lemon ricotta agnolotti and the brazino. All were great but the arancini stood out the most and is a must try dish at Enoteca. Cocktails were also great; not sure if we would come back but worth a try for those interested!

I didn’t like the place, mainly because it was unbearably loud. It was deafening, with everyone trying to outshout each other until it became physically painful. I honestly question the health and safety of the staff who are constantly exposed to such high decibel levels.
Another reason I didn’t like it was the service. For such a pretentious place, the staff didn’t seem happy to have us there. We waited for our table, we waited for water, we waited for someone to take our order, all while being reminded that there’s a strict time limit on how long you can stay.
On top of that, the hostess and waitress seemed distracted, looking up at the ceiling while we spoke, and I never even received the pepper I requested. Finally, the portion sizes were ridiculously small.
