Great ambience, good food n service.
I had my first visit here today. Food was good. Service was good too. I was disappointed by the lack of care that was given to little details about the place such as not having the cleanest menus. Also, I had a special request to accommodate to a birthday, which was confirmed by the staff to me, but it was never delivered. So that did fracture my experience here because I expected much better from such a name, reputation, hotel and if I am paying a $80 per head for the afternoon tea.
We went for afternoon tea .. service is quite friendly and the place is quite nice (second time here) .. tea selection is good .. there’s a good selections of savoury and sweet baked items however nothing blew our minds and few items were just a bit off (too sweet or bitter)
Lovely food. Lovely service. Awesome ambiance. Aesthetic interiors. Lovely experience
The service at EPOCH is outstanding. Ani and Em in particular deserve a shout out. Dinner was great and the atmosphere was really nice too. Highly recommended to those staying at the hotel or just looking for a good spot in Toronto for a drink or a meal.
Five stars isn't enough to capture our lunch at Epoch. The experience exceeded expectations, thanks to Chef Crump, Chad, and Ani's outstanding service, hospitality and recommendations! The private distilled Knob Creek bourbon: uber-smooth indulgence! Next time - high tea!
I was happy to visit Epoch after Nikos from the front desk spoke very highly of their pizza. Yik at the bar was amazing and attentive. Ani, the manager, helped make my night at the restaurant most memorable. Cannot wait to return.

We celebrated my aunt's 100th Birthday Afternoon Tea at Epoch Bar & Kitchen. We were a party of 11 guests. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The Afternoon Tea there was excellent. The finger sandwiches were delicious. The scones were warm and were so tasty with the clotted cream and strawberry jam. The pastries were works of art and were so delicious. My aunt was so impressed that the General Manager of The Ritz greeted her Happy Birthday! All in all, a wonderful and lasting memory for all of us on my aunt's 100th Birthday. P.S. A special shout-out to Lindsay who made sure we were all well taken care of.
Lovely little terrace with a view of the CN Tower. Went with colleagues ahead of the theatre and it was perfect for that. Bit pricey but worth the atmosphere.

Celebrated my birthday with a large group of friends at Epoch on a Thursday evening. Loved the beautiful interior and warm atmosphere of the restaurant. The restaurant was lively but not overly crowded and the location was very convenient for those commuting or driving so that was an added plus. When it came to the dining experience, we enjoyed select cocktails and made sure to order shareables for the table. Highlights were the NY striploin and the oysters, along with the mushroom truffle pizza. Overall, I'd say the portions and value were pretty fair. As for the restaurant service, it was above and beyond. They accommodated me last minute as I wanted to add extra seats and I was also able to bring in my own birthday cake. My guests and I felt well taken care of and my birthday was truly memorable. Big thanks to the Epoch team for providing to such an enjoyable dinner experience!
The location is a hidden gem in the heart of Downtown Toronto. It's surprisingly quiet and peaceful. I will recommend going for special occasions.

3 stars for food, five stars for service! Wanted to try high tea for the first time and decided to go somewhere nicer. The most delightful part was definitely the warm scone which was recommended to be eaten first. Otherwise the savoury sandwiches lacked substance and weren’t very memorable. Desserts were ok, not very punchy. Tea options were nice though. At this price bracket, I definitely would have expected better.

Meh. I'd expect better from Ritz Carlton. Uncomfortable seating, slow service, uninspired food.

We started off with the Pineapple Express Cocktails, which were a bit on the sour side but still refreshing. For appetizers, we had the Crispy Coconut Shrimp—a generous portion that was perfectly crispy with a nice balance of sweet and light spice. We were also intrigued by the Watermelon Feta Salad, which was appetizing, though we had mixed opinions. While I enjoyed the watermelon, it was a bit watery, and the tomatoes were hard to taste. The walnuts, coated in brown sugar, added a nice crunch, and the mix of sweet, refreshing, sour, crunchy, and salty from the feta was great. I’d suggest a bit less watermelon or draining the excess juice, and maybe adding more feta.
For our main, we ordered the Grilled AAA New York Striploin. There was a small mix-up with how the steaks were cooked, but we appreciated our waiter checking for any allergies, as the chimichurri sauce ended up on the wrong steak. The fried leeks didn’t add much in terms of flavor. We were also warned that the mashed potatoes were heavy on butter, but they were almost swimming in it. That said, the drinks, shrimp, and the steak itself were excellent.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable throughout our visit.
We opted to sit outside since the weather was warm, and it was peaceful until around 5:30 pm when more guests started arriving. Inside, the decor is elegant, and we’d love to come back to experience dining indoors, especially during brunch.
As it’s located in a luxury hotel, the higher price point is understandable. Overall, we’d definitely return to try their brunch.
