In Toronto, most coffee shops and roasters offer the same fare, and nothing stands out. But Ethica goes above and beyond in ways that make it one of my favorites. Their specialty drinks are exceptional. The decor and thoughtful seating arrangements create a welcoming space. They stock 10% cream and won't judge you for using it (unlike many third-wave shops in town that act like you've committed a coffee crime). The beans are delicious, and the graphic design and packaging are delightful. Love this place.

My first experience with Ethica Coffee Roasters began when I purchased a bag of their coffee from another source. Today, however, I received my very first 1kg order directly from Ethica. I was so impressed back then that I could hardly find the right words—and now I feel the same. Of course, the most important part is the coffee itself, and I won’t try to overdescribe it: it is simply sublime. I truly believe that the quality—or even the happiness—of life depends on small details, and the coffee I get from Ethica absolutely makes my life better.
I don’t even need to mention how beautiful the packaging is—it’s just perfect in every detail. On top of that, I received a sticker and even a card that can be exchanged for a cup of coffee, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Even though I live in London, I definitely want to visit their café in Toronto one day, and I hope I’ll be able to do it soon.
Your attention to detail, your outstanding coffee, and the kindness that can be felt even while unpacking the box have truly won me over. You’ve got a loyal customer in me. I wish you the best of luck—and continued success, though I’m not sure how you could possibly get any better.
