Great espresso and a great atmosphere.
Best coffee ever had. Went to buy beans as a gift to my bf, hope he enjoy it as much as I do.
Lovely ambiance and vet nice barista and great coffee
My first experience with Ethica Coffee Roasters began when I purchased a bag of their coffee from another source. Today, however, I received my very first 1kg order directly from Ethica. I was so impressed back then that I could hardly find the right words—and now I feel the same. Of course, the most important part is the coffee itself, and I won’t try to overdescribe it: it is simply sublime. I truly believe that the quality—or even the happiness—of life depends on small details, and the coffee I get from Ethica absolutely makes my life better.
I don’t even need to mention how beautiful the packaging is—it’s just perfect in every detail. On top of that, I received a sticker and even a card that can be exchanged for a cup of coffee, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Even though I live in London, I definitely want to visit their café in Toronto one day, and I hope I’ll be able to do it soon.
Your attention to detail, your outstanding coffee, and the kindness that can be felt even while unpacking the box have truly won me over. You’ve got a loyal customer in me. I wish you the best of luck—and continued success, though I’m not sure how you could possibly get any better.
Worth coming back.
I really enjoyed my cappuccino, loved the ambience, and the service was great.
Cute coffee shop. Good beans. Choice of beans. Well suited to studying and working at designated tables.
This is my favorite roaster in Toronto.
They offer some of the most interesting and delicious coffees in the city. Their staff is friendly and helpful.

Cortado.
A really special place, the cortado was wonderful. The space is nice and the atmosphere is so pleasant. I forgot to take pictures of their coffee bean merchandise, they are really good and the packaging is fun.

Lovely location, very friendly and professional, most delicious coffee. Highly recommend
I have reluctantly gone to Ethica a few times because of the limited choices on Sterling. I have always found them to be very expensive for what you get. I was annoyed that a relatively small cup of tea and baked good cost me just over $11 each time.
But, the last time I was there will be my last. And what did it? Garbage cans. Yes, I won't return because of their garbage cans. The cans are marked "ignorance" and "indifference". I honestly couldn't tell you which one was intended for waste vs. recycling. Either way, I was being shamed for my choice.
I came to visit with a friend I hadn't seen in a few months, and as I sat there, eating a cookie that cost $5 and a lukewarm, small cup of tea that was another $5, the obnoxious garbage cans stared at me the whole time. Is it meant to be art?
Regardless of what the bins were marked, both were lined with black plastic garbage bags, so I assume neither go into a recycling program, and it all goes to landfill.
For what I spent on a cuppa with a friend, I was annoyed. But, the waste bins told me that the only place to put my napkin at the end of the visit was up my a$$.
Won't be returning.
One of the best coffee shops in Toronto!

The matcha latte was warm-cold, that was a bummer when I found it out during my walk. I'll give it another try if I'm around because I've only heard great things about this cafe. The atmosphere was pretty nice, very cosy.
