Had a wonderful visit to Toronto with 2 mornings spent at Ethica! The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is top tier for greb-and-go coffeeshop vibes, and I had the most flavorful flat white I (someone who grew up in the coffee industry, and who drinks one almost daily) has ever had! Only complaint was from some people who got drip or pour over but preferred a darker roastVegetarian options: Breakfast sammy was amazing!

Great cafe for people that love coffee. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and the baristas have been on point every time I’ve been there.I love that they taste the coffee before serving it and will remake a shot if the standard is not acceptable. Buying beans here is also pleasant as the staff know the product and are well informed on different brewing methods and are great at suggesting roasts and methods based on what you’re making at home.

On a weekend trip home to Toronto, we found this lovely shop tucked away in an unexpected area. Everything was perfect. The staff answered all of my overly inquisitive questions. the grab n go sandwiches were delicious, the croissant was crunchy and flaky. The coffee? Perfect. Thank you for making that insane walk in the freezing cold absolutely worth it.

Soooooo Ethica will be my new go to in the neighbourhood coffee place, absolutely loved the physical space it was modern and lots of natural light with ginormous windows and very high ceilings…I absolutely love the lattes here made with their Brazilian beans. The depth of flavour is over the top!!Thank-you Michael for the wonderful conversation about coffee/espresso and the chemistry of making a spectacular latte, Michael was very friendly had wonderful personality, professional and interpersonal skills were top notch and is an effective listener, Michael is VERY knowledgeable about coffee/Ethica beans and answered many of my questions because I’m not a barista but love espresso, and he never made me feel I was asking a dumb or 2 many questions…Michael and the other 2 baristas were very friendly and had great communication/customer service skills and made our first visit to Ethica a very memorable experience, if you are in the neighbourhood or even a distance away Ethica is worth the visit and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed…Please keep doing what you’re doing making palettes happy one at a time.Ethica uses a La Marzocco Espresso Machine…need I say more, just seeing that they use the best Espresso machine on the market that is handmade in Florence Italy ?? shows they are bang-on about the product they are putting out.

I got an iced latte and a blueberry danish, it was delicious! The blueberries were crispy, which was fantastic! You guys have to try it! Moreover, I really love the design of the cafe.

Best coffee I’ve had in Toronto so far. They do light and medium roasts that suits my Scandinavian taste buds very well. Have tried four different roasts from them now and all were really excellent! Furthermore, the staff are super kind and friendly, and most importantly, they really know what they’re talking about. Such a pleasure to talk to Igor especially!! Oh, and I recommend the almond croissant, it was delicious.

Both the coffee shop and the roastery are first rate.They offer ethically-sourced specialist coffee, accessories and education services. Their website has a full description, not to be repeated here. It's a very impressive operation and I now only buy my espresso and pour-over beans here.The space is attractive and welcoming, and they have a performance space that features live entertainment. A nice touch is that you get a token for a free coffee when you buy a bag of beans.I find the staff to be charming and expert in all aspects of the specialist coffee marketplace.Very highly recommended for the casual coffee drinker and the caffeine-addicted enthusiast alike.

Love this place! Can get loud when crowded, but service is great, ambience is chill, and the food and drinks are delicious! I especially love getting their sourdough bread to take home. I miss their pain au chocolat, though.Vegetarian options: Veggie food options are available. Milk substitutes like oat milk are as well.
Undoubtedly the best pain au chocolate and pastries I’ve tried recently, coffee and tea were amazing, everyone was so friendly! I just loved it!
