We had the best time on Friday at Barista and Chef. The staff is so friendly and the food absolutely delicious. We had the pear salad, rainbow Trout, chicken and ribs. free dessert added at the end was a lovely touch. we always go to this fabulous neighbourhood restaurant for special occasions.

Barista and Chef is a small restaurant that does a great job looking after their customers. They accommodate food allergies and provide alternative choices. The servers are top notch and very pleasant. The food was very tasty and plentiful which is unusual these days. The noise level was refreshingly quiet even with the restaurant full of diners. Overall, Barista and Chef is a great place to be for regular and special occasion dining.

Always a treat to dine here. Had the chicken breast dish that was incredibly tasty. Always great service and an interesting menu. And maybe one of the last places that serves free warmed bread and dip before the rest of the food arrives. Feels like a “neighborhood place “that attracts people from all over.

This is an amazing spot with excellent food and ambiance. So fortunate to have such a great patio for the beautiful weather and it's got a cover in case it rains and I see there are heater there now for the cooler times. The staff is amazing and you will always get great service and almost always be greeted by the owner. The food is an absolute pleasure to look and and devour. I highly recommend it.

The beet salad with goat cheese was delicious. The rainbow trout dish was very good. They were flexible and replaced my potatoes with arugula. The owner was very friendly & accommodating.
Excellent meal. I recommend the lamb shank. My wife said the pasta was excellent. My son took the filet mignon (special) with which he was very happy.

It was only one item that wasn't the usual quality. It can happen. It won't stop me going back. Owner was apologetic and didn't charge for the meal.

Excellent neighbourhood place for great food and service. Everything that was ordered between the four of us was really tasty, decent portions and not outrageously expensive. It has been around for years (could use some updating) but hadn't been since covid and was thrilled that both food and service have remained consistent. Summer they have a nice patio

Delicious food in comfortable surroundings. Attentive friendly service. It's taking some getting used to what I feel is a dramatic increase in restaurant prices overall; what I perceive to be above the actual rate of inflation, though I haven't done the math. But since I truly enjoyed my meal at Barista & Chef, I'm happy to recommend it. I had a Caesar salad and the Tagliatelle with a lamb and beef ragu. Both were good size portions. I didn't have dessert.

The hospitality at Barista and Chef is so very welcoming that it is our favourite dining spot. The food is familiar and accessible with a creative touch in the finishing. He eats no meat and I am a carnivore, yet the selection is so varied that there's always something to try. Thank you, Alton and Edner, you make Barista and Chef a very special place.
