saw a rat today near the hot food area, running between fixtures just a foot away from me. I’ve also noticed food on the shelves that had been partially eaten by rodents still left for sale. I alerted a staff member, but this needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
Update- The manager informed me that they are aware of the issue and are working with the city and pest control to resolve the rat problem.
The store was well-stocked and clean. They had what I needed and cashier was friendly, helpful and efficient. I bought the ready-to-cook chicken and mushroom pot pie and it was surprisingly very good! I would definitely go back for more.
There is a weird type of smell coming in the store
Very bad service
This Farm Boy has a welcoming atmosphere, is well-lit, and clean. The fruit displays are neatly arranged, everything looks great, and the Canadian apples are delicious! The checkout customer service was excellent.
Has everything you need for specialized diets. Abundance of Gluten-free options vs other grocers. Price are pretty steep
Lines are way too long. This location sucks
Always fresh fruits and veggies. Big open and wide isles makes shopping easy. Cashiers need to lighten up and be more customer friendly.
Prices at Farm Boy and Sobeys are a bit stiff. These grocers need to be mindful of the fact that customers are in a challenging inflation crisis; therefore, give back to your customers for their repeated patronage by lowering prices instead of following the herd. Trending doesn't mean jumping on the greedy bandwagon
.
Farm boy, slowly becoming Loblaws. 10 cash registers, 4 express lines and 1 cashier working!!!

Today I saw a rat in the northeast corner near the salad dressings rummaging in a display of pasta and pasta sauce.
A rat was also spotted in April of 2024, according to another review - clearly this issue has been hard to deal with or not dealt with at all.
I used to love this store, but recently I’ve noticed quality has gone down hill. Not as many good deals as there used to be. Produce is hit or miss. Will not be going back.
Great selection of organics. Excellent house potato chips (aka covered bridge) if you like a crunchy thicker chip
DO NOT BUY THEIR COOKIES!
They are unbelievably addicting 😭
I can't get enough 😭
Best place to make groceries shopping. Clerk attendants are the nicest!
This store has an inviting atmosphere. It is convenient to have this store nearby as they keep some items that are not available at other stores, so it keeps us coming back.
However, please have more cash lanes active and if you have only 2 cashiers active like this evening, try not to put the "number of items" constraint (express lane as you call it). On top of that, another cash guy who jumped in to help chose to go in the express lane, even after seeing that there were people waiting in the regular lane as well. Probably wasn't in a mood to bill a lot of items? Should people who buy more stuff have to wait longer as well? Please use some common sense. Also, write "1-8 items" in big letters in customers' faces so you don't have to ask them to go to the other line. The small signages hanging up there are not obvious to customers.
