A Malaysian-Vegan restaurant, whaaat! We had to try it. We were here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and couldn’t have picked a better vegan restaurant.
We chose the tasting menu - the best way to try all of the chef’s favourite items on the menu.
Heads up: It’s a LOT OF FOOD.
We were warned in advance by our server that opt for the tasting menu only if you’re Really REALLY hungry. We are people will a pretty good appetite, yet we had to take home an entire main - we were stuffed! 7 courses (no dessert included).
The flavours of every single dish were lip-smacking. The order in which they brought it was very good too and created a nice balance of experiences between heavy and light dishes.
Highly recommend Fat Choi. The flavours were so delightful that we’re still dreaming of them.

Nice experience! We got the Feed Me plant based option and it was a LOT of food! I don’t know if it portions were made bit smaller for our table but they should’ve been. some dishes were underwhelming like stir fried veggies, and all the sauces were peanut heavy. Though the rice rolls and noodles were superb. Ordered dirty martinis and they were delicious!

One of the best meals I’ve had! The mezcal cocktail was so nice. The hot honey in the bao was great, and the noodles and tofu/rice were delicious. Loved the fried banana dessert too. Appreciate that they brought each part of the meal out one by one so we could take our time!

Food was not as good as I expected, ordinary vegan food, subpar my home kitchen. Ordered Dalh & roti, shroom braise, Kari hor fun. The service was great, atmosphere is decent.

We were impressed by the variety, quality, and price of the vegan tasting menu; we left full and super satisfied.
The cocktail menu is creative and memorable, and we especially enjoyed the Pineapple Pal 8 oz. teapot.
Beautiful, cozy decor. Absolutely perfect for a first date or friends' night out.

Booked on a Friday evening, and we had the Fat Choi 'feed me' menu. I was excited to try an entirely vegan menu. The service was great and accommodating. The experience itself was not bad, but it wasn't great either. I left the restaurant feeling very tired and gross. The 7-dish menu sounded promising, but it was mostly fried food (I remember one salad), the dishes came randomly (no thread, sometimes dishes came very fast, sometimes more slowly), and there was too much (I never say this). Lastly, none of the food I tried was incredible or super tasty (though I loved the homemade roti). The worst part for me was the unpleasant set-up (high chairs with no back panel and a tiny table). After 2 hours of sitting on that chair, I was glad to go.
Can't say enough good things about Fat Choi and it's amazing vegan food. The feed me menu is 100% worth it...it was great to try different dishes and we were really full after. Can't wait to come back again.

What an excellent dining experience!! We were able to get a table for 2 last minute which was great! The service from everyone was fantastic, very kind and welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was amazing!! Such a creative use of ingredients, textures, flavours, and presentation. The ambiance was really cozy and hip. 10/10 recommend! Can’t wait to go back!!
