This is EASILY one of Toronto's best dining experiences! We spoke to the table beside us and the wholeheartedly agreed. Every dish somehow outdid the last. It wasn't too surprising to find out Chef Frank's culinary lineage. Wine and cocktail pairings were impeccable and the front of house team were the best we have experienced in Canada. BTW, their prices are too low. That Michelin recommendation is there for a reason. Thank you FK team for such a memorable night.

Outstanding anniversary dinner. Still fairly new to Toronto, so I came across this venue by chance when viewing Google maps. Find it a bit odd to make reservations by phone, but it seems to work for them. I always think calling a restaurant would be intrusive as you never know how busy they are at the time. The lady I spoke to was great in setting up a date/time.

We got there a bit early but they were ready for us. The space is nice and bright, very comfortable and it filled up almost instantly as we sat down around 1835.

The menu, although on the smaller side is quite varied. Definitely will take a few repeat visits to try everything we were curious about.

We were taken care of by Stephan (sp??) from Berlin which was an extra treat. We previously had a chance to live in Hamburg and this allowed us to practise some German.

All the dishes were fabulous. My wife loves her steaks and the FK steak would put so called steakhouses to shame. It was done perfectly.

Can't say enough about the flavor, texture and presentation of all the dishes from their bread to desert.

Will definitely return for more visits.

Thank you!

I’ll start off my review by saying the food is phenomenal. The scallops were beautiful, the cote de boeuf was cooked to perfection, the halibut came with a sauce that was out of this world. We left full and satisfied.

But the service was awful. My partner and I came here for his 33rd birthday and we felt like we were seated at the kids table. When we arrived we ordered cocktails and I told the server I had never been here and asked for direction and suggestions - I said my partner and I were looking to share some plates. I was told not many people share and most order an appetizer and a main - no direction, no suggestion, no enthusiasm, nothing. He stood there waiting for our order looking at me with a blank face.

We started to mull over our choices out loud with the server hoping they would pop in with feedback and suggestions. We were told we were ordering too much food (we wanted to order 2 appetizers and 2 mains) and that the scallops were $9 each (they made this abundantly clear, stating this multiple times) as if we couldn’t read the menu or afford the meal. We felt uncomfortable and rushed out, as if we were not their desired clientele.

We ordered a second round of cocktails and the server didn’t clear our empty glasses - our table was full as food arrived and they struggled to place to plates on the table. We enjoyed our food, thought about dessert and decided not to order. We left in a rush because we felt small and unwelcome. If you’re under 50 I would think twice about dining here. We saw how other tables were treated different than us and (encouraged to share plates, order more, their water glasses didn’t not have black pieces of what I assumed to be dirt, were welcomed with smiles, etc.) we were left disappointed and uneasy.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at FK Restaurant yesterday, and it was nothing short of spectacular! This Michelin-starred gem truly lives up to its reputation.

The highlight of the evening? The duck egg raviolo – rich, silky, and perfectly balanced with layers of flavor that felt like pure culinary art. Every bite was a 10/10.

And let’s talk about dessert – the strawberry creation was an absolute dream! Fresh, vibrant, and delicately sweet, it was the perfect finale to an unforgettable meal.

The service was impeccable, the ambiance cozy yet sophisticated, and every detail spoke of passion and precision. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience that will blow your mind, FK is the place.

⭐ Rating: 10/10 – Highly recommend!

I would say it’s worthy of the Michelin Guide. The food presentation is impressive, and the taste is excellent.

The sable fish is very tender and smooth, complemented by a light miso sauce that isn’t too thick and has a subtle seasoning.

The lobster tail tortellini features lobster dumplings that contain a little lobster meat, but the lobster-flavored sauce is absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. If you're still hungry after one plate, you’ll definitely want to have another.

The appearance of the beluga caviar is quite charming.

The foie gras wrapped in elk is exceptionally tender and smooth. There is a hint of fishiness, but it’s the most tender and least fishy option I’ve encountered in Toronto. I tried elk for the first time, and it was soft and juicy with no unpleasant taste.

The service is fantastic, warm, welcoming, and friendly. I will definitely revisit again.

We partner and I went for my birthday dinner celebration. Cocktails were below average ( we tried the rosemary old-fashion and the rum punch), wine from the special menu at 25$ a glass tasted flat as if from a bottle that had been open many days ago.For food, the zucchini flowers and the sweet corn agnolotti appetizers were very nice and the highlight of the meal. We also had the fig salad that was mediocre (figs were tasteless). For main course I tried the sable fish with spinach for main course and all ingredients were overcooked. It seemed like they used frozen spinach from the supermarket. My partner had the salmon which did't taste special but looked beautiful. For a 270$ meal, we were not impressed as food and drinks were on the bland side - not sure about the fresh local ingredients claim but the presentation was definitely beautiful.

My mother recently hosted an afternoon social event at FK/Frank’s Kitchen on St. Clair West in Toronto and she was so thrilled with how it turned out.

The guests told her that the hors d'oeuvres were delicious and the perfect size for a cocktail party. The beverages, including a signature cocktail, satisfied the guests variety of tastes. And the lovely interior of the restaurant was re-arranged to accommodate everyone comfortably. The servers were excellent and very professional.

As my mom told me, she’s been enjoying Chef Frank’s wonderful food for years and was delighted to have experienced an equally wonderful cocktail event. The staff at FK were great to deal with and helped to make the event a success.

10/10 experience at this restaurant. Starting with the food- it was impeccable. Every single bite was perfect. We were blown away by how good everything tasted. The service was amazing- our server Emily was extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was also great- we sat on the patio on a hot day and they provided fans for us!

FK served me the best meal I’ve had in Toronto in years. Every dish we had was honestly incredible. They also set a table up for us on the patio, even though they weren’t planning on serving outside that day. Super accommodating, and unreal food.

Am I late to this review? Yes! Am I still dreaming about the fantastic dinner we had at the end of April at Frank's Kitchen? Also yes!

Every single bite I took was exquisite! Frank’s food is a treat for the eye as well as the taste buds. I like chatting with my husband over dinner but kept getting distracted by how delicious everything was.

I can’t remember the wine we had but it was reasonably priced and exactly right with the food.

The atmosphere at FK is warm and welcoming and, honestly, it was the most perfect birthday dinner I could have wished for.

And then, to top off an amazing celebration, as we were clearly struggling to get a good selfie, one of the waiters came out and took the photo for us! Best night ever!

We had one of the most memorable birthday celebrations ever. FK is a very special dining venue and the people who make all of it possible are amazing. Down to earth, knowledgeable, professional. The Duck Egg Yolk Ravioli was amazing. The Striploin Steak was over-the-top fabulous. The cocktail and wine menu offers a range of options. The French 75 was a beautifully crafted cocktail. Just an excellent experience.
