I’ve been to this location twice ! And I must say exceptional service both times. This time we went we had a server by the name of Brad ! He suggested we tried the Nutella hot chocolate and said it was nothing short of amazing and it’s a must try. MIGHT I say HE DID NOT LIE ! I will be back just for that hot chocolate, it was perfect on this cold fall day. Through the night as me and my boyfriend grabbed games Brad checked on us and made sure we had enough water and snacks! He also was very helpful explaining a couple games and be thorough about the objectives. We truly had an excellent experience and conversation with staff ! Come here if your looking to have a good time :)

One of the nicer game cafes I’ve been to ambience wise- good selection of games. A bit pricey- 3 drinks plus cover cost us $92.

By far one of the best board game cafes I have been to in the GTA. It's worth your time and a great place for socializing with friends. I like that this cafe does not encourage falsely high ratings by giving discounts in return for 5 star reviews. The service is impeccable and you can tell the staff and owner are truly board game enthusiasts. They do not do board game retail however the board games available to choose from is extensive. All the games are neatly organized by logical categories. Plenty of signage everywhere to recommend games based on your party size, interests, etc. The cafe menu has several options and the quality is great (my table ordered a matcha latte, the smoked meat sandwich, the Cajun fries, and a couple sodas). Their alcoholic drinks menus are also very intriguing. I can actually hear my friends talking and explaining gameplay because the staff is smart enough to know there's no point blasting music in the background (unlike some pretty bad board game cafe's I've been to). Staff checked in on our table at a reasonable cadence such that all our needs were met while not feeling overwhelmed. We went on a Sunday evening which was rather quiet so I'd love to return on a busier night to see if the quality of service and management holds up. During busy timeslots, tables are limited to max 3 hr stay. If it's not busy, you can stay as long as you'd like Decor is also beautiful and tasteful. Furniture and facilities are very well-maintained and clean.

I had a great experience at For The Win Board Game Cafe & Bar! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made it the perfect spot for a productive day with my best friend. We enjoyed delicious coffee while reviewing our goals and playing some fun board games. The variety of games available is impressive, and the vibe is inviting and energetic. If you’re looking for a place to relax, have fun, and get some work done, this cafe is a must-visit! Highly recommend! ☕️?

One of the employees grabbed game cards away from someone at our table because we were still scoring the game 3 minutes after closing. Another employee backed them up. Avoid!

I was looking forward to a fun evening with friends at this board game café, but our experience was completely soured by the shockingly rude behavior of one of the employees. From the moment we arrived, we were met with hostility and disdain, which was both unprovoked and completely unwarranted.
This particular employee not only gave us dirty looks throughout the night but also started packing up one of our games before the café’s closing time, without a word of explanation or respect for our enjoyment. It was clear that this person had no interest in making customers feel welcome or valued.
As a large group bringing in good business and always being respectful, we were appalled by the lack of basic customer service and common courtesy. This behavior left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome, completely ruining what should have been an enjoyable night.
It’s disheartening to see such disregard for customers, especially when we chose this place for its supposed friendly atmosphere. Management should really address this issue, as I wouldn’t recommend this café to others who value good service and a pleasant experience.

Getting loud while playing didn’t feel embarrassing at all. It was cute, everyone was just having a great time. The service was also great! Servers were very friendly and made the experience really pleasant.

This place has a cozy vibe which puts you in the mood for playing board games. Our waiter was very friendly and offered to teach us how to play a game. The table was also big enough for any sized board games.

There's a wide selection of games and they are pretty good. The website only shows portion of all the games. It would be helpful to be able to see a complete list, because, I would go to a store just to try out a particular game.

It can get noisy when all tables are full, but since the place is not that big, the noise is still manageable for playing board games.

I recently visited THE BEST board game cafe in Toronto, and I can't recommend it enough! The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to thoroughly explain the board game we were trying to play. They checked in on us frequently to see if we needed any help, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

I went with my friend and her son, and we all had a great time. The seating was exceptionally comfortable, with cozy couches and big tables that made it easy to play games for hours. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing and fun gaming session.

We ordered chips, fries, toast, and coffee, and everything was delicious. I especially recommend their coffee and toast – both were absolutely yummy! I would love to come here again in the future.?
