Food was fantastic. Our experience was great, except we did wait almost 40 minutes for our bill. It was busy so I understand a bit of a wait, but it just felt like we were being ignored because we were a group of 2, whereas the other groups around us were much bigger. The cake for my husband's birthday was an amazing surprise though and he loved it.

Nice patio. Had some difficulty with heaters but got one working finally. Not a fan of Lychee Martini but all food was hot and delicious.

We had a really bad experience at Fox on John last week. We were seated exactly beside the DJ which was extremely loud and we couldn't talk at all. We requested a patio table and when a server came saying a patio table was available, the server who was originally assigned to our table kept tell her that ‘oh I've confirmed they're okay with this table'. We said we were okay with the table when our server had said there was no other table available (we didn't have any choice in that matter). I had to go and personally tell the other server lady that no we still wanted to be moved outside away from the loud noise of the DJ. When we moved outside nobody helped us at all to move the stuff from our table. We had to take everything by ourselves. The servers were busy at that time sure but just standing there watching us take our plates of food+glasses instead of offering a hand was just rude to us. When we sat outside, nobody came to check on us. We needed water, glasses and more drinks order and I had to go find the server myself and be like hey can you come to our table next. I placed a drink towards the end which wasn't served so I went in to cancel the order because it had been over 15-20 mins and we really had to leave. But the server apologized for that and made the drinks on the house which was nice. The food was great as always but the server this time was poor.

Table for one on the patio & I was in the farthest away corner where I was practically ignored by the waitress. Multiple times people tried to deliver meals that aren't mine which is lack of communication by the waitress. Food was good & served hot which was good.

The food was delicious!! Brooke our server was very good!! If you go to Fox on John ask to sit in her area. She will take excellent care of you!!! When we arrived we were seated at the front door. I asked to be moved as it was high top table and have a hard time getting up on the chair. We were moved to a table with no questions asked!! We had a lovely meal!!! I would have liked the noise level to be less but it was the first game for the Blue Jays playoff game.

Our server - Brooke, was awesome! She was very professional, attentive and fun. Our food was delish, I had the Beyond Meat Smash Burger on a gluten free bun and was pleasantly surprised how great it was. My friends had the mushroom pasta and the quesadilla and they both really liked both. Then it was super close to walk to our show at Mirvish.

Service was great and the atmosphere welcoming and lively. It was convenient to watch part of the Jays game from different vantage points on the big screen TV's. However, the food itself was a bit disappointing. The menu is extensive, but I decided on the smash burger. For the cost, I thought is was disappointing; it was tasty, but smaller than I would have expected. The fries were also a disappointment - too small and thin, and a bit dried out. The beef melt on the menu looked good - perhaps that would have been a better choice, with sweet potato fries instead.
