We had an amazing dinner at Fox on John! We ordered the ribeye steaks, the Diane striploin, and a bottle of Campo Viejo Rioja, and everything was cooked perfectly. The steaks were tender, juicy, and full of flavour, and the wine paired beautifully with the meal. The only small disappointment was some confusion around the advertised 2000-point loyalty sign-up bonus, which we had actually been able to claim a couple of days earlier on a previous visit (and redeemed for $16 off). It would've been nice to have clearer communication about it this time, but it didn't take away from what was otherwise a great night. Overall, excellent food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service.

We had a great time. Nathan our server was attentive and made our night a wonderful dining experience. The food was amazing. Dessert was delicious too. The magician Emanuel was great too. My daughters and I enjoyed his table side show. Would highly recommend!

My waitress Fayte made me feel like a valued guest when I was waiting for my friends to arrive. She smiled and was attentive to my needs . Great Service!! and I was happy to be back for my second visit. The food was amazing! I would recommend this place for a fun chill environment. I really enjoyed your happy hour appetizers!!! Will definitely be back!

I love Fox on John but this time around, I felt rushed. We barely started our salad when the main course came out. There was not room on the table. My guest didn't care for her pasta but felt too intimated to say so. My steak would have been great but it got cold because I rushed to finish my salad so I could eat it. As a result, I didn't either enjoy either dish as much as usual because of the rushing and squished table. I was afraid something was going to fall off the table. The area we were sitting in was also very chilly! I asked if the fireplace could be used and it was not available. I usually love my experience there but this time I was left wanting.

Overall experience was good, I understand due to the offer going on they are very busy but waiting to be seated to 20 mins when you have a reservation made is not fun.

We had a pretty bizarre dining experience here, which was disappointing given our expectations. We arrived around 5:10 pm and were told there was a one-hour wait, so we put our name on the list. While waiting, we noticed a 5:30 pm reservation open up (likely a cancellation) and booked it. When we returned at 5:25 to let the hostess know about our reservation, we were told we'd be seated shortly. A few minutes later, I asked to be removed from the waitlist; the hostess tapped on the tablet but didn't verbally confirm anything. There was also an awkward moment where she appeared to ignore someone senior to her asking to save bar seating, which set an odd tone from the start. Despite having a reservation, we weren't seated until 5:40. Once seated, we sat for about 10 minutes without any acknowledgment—no greeting, no water—despite multiple servers and hostesses walking by. I eventually had to wave down the hostess to ask if she could call over our server. I saw her speak to a server, but even then, no one came over until around 5:55, after passing our table several times. Our server, Camille, mentioned to another table that it was only her second day, and I truly want to give her grace. However, being completely unacknowledged for roughly 15 minutes was frustrating. To add to the confusion, once we finally ordered our ribeye and sides, the food arrived within about five minutes, which felt unusually fast and made the overall service feel disjointed. We understand restaurants have off days and new staff, but clearer communication and basic acknowledgment would have gone a long way.
