This is hands down THE BEST rice noodle place I know - I always have their Fudao Original Rice noodles with popcorn chicken (which btw is also AMAZING - they have a special sauce that just compliments the spices on the chicken perfectly).
And the SERVICE OMG - the boss himself works alongside the wait staff and everyone is just SO nice. It's the kind of personalized experience you won't get from restaurant chains or fast food places, the kind that made me a loyal customer.
The pricing is SUPER affordable (especially the rice noodles) - the side dishes are a tiny bit pricier compared to the mains but the taste is SO worth it!
I have introduced this place to many friends and so far every single one of them agreed with my thoughts of the place and loved the food too.
I'm ending off with a confession: I wrote this review because I want to convince more people to come try this place out, because I genuinely wholeheartedly wish for nothing but prosperity and continued success for this amazing restaurant and it's lovely boss and wait staff. Foodao Noodle House in downtown Toronto is an absolute gem. I'm still thinking about their roasted peanuts—perfectly crispy and smoky. I also had the Chicken Ginseng Noodle and the 两份. The noodle soup was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. The 两份 was also amazing with a great savory and spicy kick. The service was fast, friendly, and the place has a great cozy vibe. I'll definitely be back.

Highly, highly recommend if you are around Chinatown! This place has been my go-to comfort spot for the past 3 years (since I discovered it). I come here at least once or twice a month and it never disappoints. N5 is my favorite. The rice noodle and delicious soup, incredibly flavorful and soothing. Like a warm hug in a bowl. Soooo satisfying in the winter but I also crave for it in the summer!
What makes it even better is the service. The staff are always kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they care. The owner, especially, is wonderful. Always greeting guests with warmth and treating everyone like regulars. It’s rare to find a place that feels this consistent, both in food and in heart.

Whenever I’m craving rice noodles, I always go to Fudao—it never disappoints! The food quality is easily one of the best among rice noodle spots I’ve tried. I especially love their house special noodle—the soup base is so comforting and smooth, it doesn’t leave me feeling thirsty afterwards (which tells me there’s little to no MSG). If you like Cantonese-style soups, you would understand. Their tomato soup base is another favorite of mine—it’s made with real tomatoes and tastes fresh, not artificial at all. The side snacks are also super tasty.
What really makes this place special is the helpful and friendly staff, especially the owner. They always make me feel welcome. I remember one time a staff overheard me mention that my phone was about to die, and she immediately offered to charge it for me. So warm. Highly recommend.
Came here twice in a week during our stay downtown. Food was excellent, and a super deal. I had both the noodles, and the rice dish, and both were superb. The service was especially outstanding. They would bring stuff quick, check to see if your drink was full, and everyone was just super friendly. We were just walking in Chinatown and stumbled on this place, and we’re glad we did. Highly recommend.
