My daughter’s wedding reception was held at Gabby’s.
Excellent service and great food!
Great atmosphere and décor.
We arrived at about 5:00 PM. Lovely and friendly host greeted us and seated us on the patio, as requested. Very quickly.
We then decided on our drinks and food order, as we had time since no staff had even spoken with us. Or even made eye contact.
3-4 servers walked by us multiples of times. The person I believe who is the manger (pink shorts) cleared 2 table beside us.
He and every staff member stopped and chatted with a couple who had been seated 5 minutes after us. They seemed to be quite known in the restaurant. Their order and drinks arrived very quickly and we still hadn’t been greeted.
Evidently that is how you get service in that location. Since literally no one came to our table to greet us, take orders and even bother to make eye contact.
I have been in restaurant management for 40 years. So I understand busy periods. Things happen. I do get that. But for the manager and 3-4 servers to ignore us takes a lot of talent.
In total we say for nearly 15-29 minutes with no greeting and again not even eye contact.
Will not be back.
Gabby's on King West, right across from the TIFF building, has one of the absolute best patios in the area! The food has seriously stepped up its game over the years, and their beer selection is fantastic. But honestly, it's the amazing service that truly sets this place apart. Every visit has been a wonderful experience. Their HR manager is a keeper. Plus, you can't beat their half-price wings on Mondays and Wednesdays!
Great outdoor patio.
cute but ok food
For our daughter Gabby’s 18th birthday, we decided we just had to surprise her with a dinner at Gabby’s. Sure it was over a two-hour drive, but as we drove by the restaurant, and her eyes popped out reading the Gabby’s sign, the drive was worth it!
For the food, I would say calling it “ pub food” is an understatement. It was all the basics, but the quality was really good, made very well and really tasty. All great from the bison burger to fish and chips And the raspberry greek yogurt cheesecake was such a nice twist… The pieces of raspberry cake mixed in with streams of real raspberry sauce made it lighter, fresher and so tasty.
Being in such a vibrant part of Toronto was super fun too. The building style and decor and character fit in perfectly. Gave it such a real home-town homey welcoming feeling, with enough interesting features to keep everyone’s eyes off the darn cell phones. We would have normally chosen the outdoor patio, but on this sweltering hot day, the A/C and cold beer tipped the scale to eat inside.
Best of all was the service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I especially want to thank our server Melissa who was fun and friendly and attentive, and who really went out of her way to ensure our Gabby and the most amazing 18th birthday dinner ever… at Gabby’s. Thank you so much Melissa!!! We did a few other things that day, but that dinner experience was the highlight for her :) This may become a tradition and we hope to see you again :)
Great service and vibes. Love the patio!!! Shout out Mika !! Sweet girl 🐱
Ample food and drinks on the menu. Touristy location so can get crowded and quite busy at times. Great side patio in the summer. Friendly staff, quick service. Recommend.
Gabbys on Egington East use to be a great place to go. Fun karaoke and very nice staff. The bar has changed hands and now I would not give them the time of day, the difference is huge.
super flirt and super attention

Food was tasted little salty only for my order but for others they loved the food, I tasted some food of my friends and it was delicious. The atmosphere was good and the food runners will keep asking you how's the taste of the food and how's everything going on which feels like we are very special to them.

I've been a fan of Gabby's for years, and their King St West location certainly lives up to the hype. The friendly and knowledgeable staff was a highlight, and their recommendation of the haddock fish and chips was spot on. The generous portion size was impressive, and the fish was perfectly battered—a delightful balance of crispy exterior and tender interior. The crispy fries and tangy tartar sauce complemented the dish beautifully.
The cozy atmosphere and classic pub decor create a welcoming ambiance, perfect for enjoying a meal or catching a game. With daily specials and a convenient location, I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

Went for lunch on a Saturday, sat at the bar. I had the bacon jam burger, my wife, the brisket quesadilla. Both were fantastic! The barman was a great guy despite being a Southhampton supporter, glad we found this place after 40+ years of visiting Hogtown. Definitely going back.

While visiting from Ottawa about a month ago, I had an opportunity stop at Gabby's for a beer. The service was great and the beer was cold. I sat on the front patio, people watching. When I left, I forgot an important package on my table. I didn't realize it until I was on the train heading back to Ottawa. I called Gabby's the next day and the manager said that he had the package in his office. He told me he was heading to the post office and would mail it to me. I received it a few days later.
This is a great example of people being decent to each other. I was so impressed.
I will certainly visit Gabby's every opportunity I get from now on.
