Walking into Galata Cafe always feels comforting and familiar, which is why it has quickly become one of my favourite places in Etobicoke.
The hospitality here is genuinely warm, with owners who are attentive, kind, and always happy to accommodate dietary preferences with thoughtful alternatives. The food never disappoints and the portion sizes are generous and satisfying.
Their Menemen is full of flavour and easily one of the best breakfasts you can find. I also love their spinach and cheese gozleme which is soft, delicious, and perfectly seasoned.
Their baklava is another highlight, sweet, fresh, and truly addictive. The Turkish coffee is rich, authentic, and even better with the little Turkish delight they serve on the side.
Galata Cafe is the perfect combination of great food, amazing coffee, and heartfelt hospitality.

Such a lovely café! We stopped by Galata Cafe after a long walk in the cold with a child and teenager in the group, and it was exactly what we needed. We ordered a coffee, salep, and hot chocolate with biscuits, and everything was delicious and comforting. The service was friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. The prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere felt cozy and relaxed. Truly a hidden gem in Etobicoke, and we will definitely be back.
