We had the Winterlicious menu and we both enjoyed a great meal. The servers were attentive and offered great suggestions. The ambiance was amazing. It was a great experience that made us want to go back to Gallery Grill in the future.

My winterlicious food choices did not disappoint. The dessert was divine, and a great way to sample their menu selections at reasonable prices.

We enjoy coming to Gallery Grill for our get together, as most of us are U of T alumni of Faculty of Pharmacy. Although we are retired, but love to keep in touch by taking advantage of Winterlicious, this time (Feb 2026) at Gallery Grill. We love the old world charm of Hart House, delicious food and attentive service. We feel comfortable coming to Hart House, it is like going back to our old home! After my first dining experience (2025) at Gallery Grill, it is my go to place to invite friends for lunch, i know they will be impressed by the ambience, food and service!

Outstanding service. Lunch was delicious. Three courses, all all beautifully presented. The dining room special for its architectural details in a building worth a visit if you've never been before.

We had a very lovely birthday lunch for my husband. The food was great and service was lovely and the atmosphere was beautiful. My only small complaint was I ordered a tea at the end of the meal and it never came and I realized after that I was billed for it.

On the one hand the food was outstanding compared to the Hart House food of years ago, and the table service was excellent. However, 1. We felt rushed as the gentleman who seemed to be the boss kicked us out 40 minutes after two o'clock - we had arrived late, circa 1:20 pm) due to weather - and we had been told that while food service ended at two, we could sit longer, sipping our coffee. This was perhaps a mistake, and it raised our expectations. 2. The place was very noisy, with normal conversation creating quite a distraction to everyday conversation. Maybe it was loud to encourage you to leave? 3. The price for lunch was too high for the value received. It was good food - but overpriced. Sure, we had arrived late but my salmon (which was very tasty) arrived almost instantly - but serving it on a hot plate was supposed to provide the heat to warm the food which had been previously cooked and prepared. So it was lukewarm.

I appreciated the staff interactions. Great from the moment I arrived 10 minutes early - to the advice re: wine, information about courses and attention to detail.

This place is outstanding. Food, ambiance, service, location...everything is perfect. Unfortunately, they only are open for lunch. Maybe because not many people know about them.

Delicious fish for me and and zucchini fritters for my husband were both enjoyed and followed by a shared cheese cake. A lovely lunch in a classic setting.

I like to take friends as my thank you when they've done me a favour. The Grill is always a hit.

Very good but I had the impression that staff were run off their feet. Had to flag down server several times.

The Gallery Grill gets very good reviews but I have found that the food never quite lives up to the reputation. I had the Sea Bass and my partner had grilled calamari. Both were fine but neither were memorable or particularly interesting. Pretty standard renditions of these dishes. Nice setting although perhaps they could add some sound absorbing materials to reduce the noise level. Very good and attentive service. Mushroom dish to start was interesting and reasonably priced.
