GelaTeo Café on the Danforth has a comfortable seating area and clearly uses real fruit in some of its flavours: the tropical and persimmon gelato both tasted fresh and authentic. Unfortunately, the texture was hard to get past. The gelato had a strange, almost gelatin-like consistency that didn’t feel creamy or smooth, which really detracted from the experience. The café itself is pleasant to sit in, but it could really use a deep clean; there was noticeable debris on the floor, which took away from the overall cute impression.

The orange cake is honestly out if this world, unlike any cake you would normally find in a cafe or restaurant. And their specialty lattes, like pistachio, peanut butter or black sesame are very delicious, but also filling, because the y include ground or powdered nuts themselves, not their flavours--such a lovely change from the flavored syrups!

They were openly advertising lots of sugar free options. Only reason my rating is three stars. Other than that, the prices are almost the same as Starbucks but the quality and service is lower.

Stopped in early this morning for a coffee. I was warmly greeted. My flat white was prepared quickly and expertly and was enjoyed. There were a variety of gelatos, baking and beautiful macarons to tempt me. Pleasant relaxing music played in the background in the Gelato cafe.
