GelaTeo Café is okay if you're nearby and just want a quick stop, but it didn't really stand out compared to other gelato shops in the city. The gelato itself is alright creamy enough and with some decent flavours, but when you've tried some of the stronger contenders around town, this one doesn't quite measure up in taste.
To their credit, the café does offer more than just gelato. They've got pastries, coffee, and even a few savory options on the menu, which is nice if you're coming with friends who want something different. That being said, the portion sizes seem to be on the smaller side for what you pay, which makes it feel a little less worth it.
Overall, it's not a bad place, and you'll get something decent here, but I don't think it's a spot I'd go out of my way to visit again. With so many other gelato and café options in the city that deliver better flavours and value, I'd likely skip this one.

I only tried the chocolate gelato and I’m sorry to say that it was the worse chocolate gelato I have ever had.

Nice cosy place with comfortable sitting and vast menu. There gelatos take okish but the milkshakes are more interesting. Coffee is good. A must try if you at Danforth.

MUST TRY!!! I’ve had the best pistachio ice cream in this place, and I learned that they use real ingredients to make the ice cream flavours and all of the flavours are made from scratch!!! Their coffee is amazing as well!!

First time here. Wonderful place. Had a slice of meat pie. It was excellent. Very different from a tortierre. Much moister and flavorful.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The placer is well lit, but it's loud. Everything is tiled and they play music. The sound bounces everywhere.
It's on the Danforth. That's great for access and bad for parking.

First of all the service was pretty bad. Not only did the girls serving us not seem to care about their job, but they rushed us to order because they were closing soon, so we ordered and quickly went outside to let them close inside while we eat our “gelato” on the patio, we were kicked out as soon as we sat down.
In terms of the gelato, everything was pretty much melting in the trays as we were ordering, but the gelato itself didn’t taste like its flavor, we got “Kit-Kat” and it tasted like sweetened cream with no distinct flavor or even bits of Kit Kat. We also got the Berry flavor and it didn’t taste like berry, it was just sugary with a generic fruity aftertaste. Neither product had the quality of gelato.
Overall we wouldn’t recommend.

Don’t get me wrong the gelato was absolutely delicious. The price of $7 for a cup smaller than the palm of my hand however I was not a fan of.

Creepy use of AI generated images of children eating ice cream for decor. Vibes are very off.
Edit: At request of owner, I’ll elaborate more on the quality of the service. GelaTeo serves poor-quality, over-burnt, mediocre coffee/espresso. If you’d like delicious coffee in the area from cafes that are passionate about coffee and can afford to support local, real artists for their decor and ads instead of robot ones, I’d suggest Supernova, Broadview, Rooster, Dopapen, or Goat nearby, who are all amazing local coffee makers!
