I bought the fudgy chocolate cake and found the icing too sweet and the cake dry, plus the icing was double the amount of cake. I also bought a butter tart and the crust was nice but the filling too sweet.

I was in the area looking for a quick bite when I noticed this quaint little bakery. Tried their butter chicken empanada and the apple tart, both were delicious. Would definitely come back to try the other pastries next time.

Gerrard St. Bakery makes an excellent butter tart! The crust is a perfect soft texture, and I like how they don't overdo the filling — you get a nice mouthful from each bite, but it isn't overwhelming. This is a good butter tart for people who usually don't like them because there's too much filling.

I’ve been to this bakery a number of times and every visit is better than the last! I’ve had a few of their cakes, a couple empanadas, probably every cookie, and their lovely tarts, which all make my tastebuds dance around! Everything holds their own unique, rich flavour making me want more! I’ve been served by Michaela quite a few times now, and her bright smile and friendly personality makes the whole experience that much better:) This bakery deserves an award for the outstanding service they provide and their high quality bakery items, a million stars if I could!
I tried placing an order online, and got all the way to the checkout process at which point the system wouldn't allow me to select a date. I called the bakery and was informed they no longer accept online orders, which I pointed out is confusing since online ordering is still prominent on their website, and mostly functional with the exception of being able to checkout. Losing the convenience of being able to place an online order and having my time wasted means they've lost my patronage.

My friend and I dropped into the bakery yesterday, I was looking for sausage rolls ,they were out so I picked up a couple of Korean empanadas!! They were soo good ! Anything I have ever gotten from this bakery has been the bomb ! Highly recommended ?
