I was in the area looking for a quick bite when I noticed this quaint little bakery. Tried their butter chicken empanada and the apple tart, both were delicious. Would definitely come back to try the other pastries next time.
Gerrard St. Bakery makes an excellent butter tart! The crust is a perfect soft texture, and I like how they don't overdo the filling — you get a nice mouthful from each bite, but it isn't overwhelming. This is a good butter tart for people who usually don't like them because there's too much filling.
I’ve been to this bakery a number of times and every visit is better than the last! I’ve had a few of their cakes, a couple empanadas, probably every cookie, and their lovely tarts, which all make my tastebuds dance around! Everything holds their own unique, rich flavour making me want more!
