A gem of a bistro boulangerie patisserie in the heart of WQW. I’ve passed this place many times and just recently got to try it. I should have stepped in long ago!I went for a mid afternoon snack and tried their Kouign Amman, the brownie, the pistachio chocolate croissant, the blueberry tart and all were amazing.I didn’t expect much from the brownie, but it turned out to be really good. It was chewy and fudgy without being too rich. The Kouignamman had just enough crunch and softness inside to make it to the top of my list. The blueberry tart was perfect, the crust and filling ratio was just right, the crust was delicious.I can’t wait to return and taste the rest.

What can i say? We had three dishes and they where all beautifully presented and the flavors where so well balanced.Great price for the quality of the dishes. I would recommend Geste for brunch.I had the Egg Benedict and my partner had the chocolate chips pancake. The Eggs Benedict was rich creamy. The dough underneath was perfect! Fluffy chewy fragrant and hot! Cast iron mini pan. Generous amount of thick bacon slices. The chocolate chips pancake was so light and flavourful. We wanted to try the grilled cheese on sour dough breat with mini pepperoni and omg ... it was so yummy.$6 mimosas are a no brainer!

Not sure why they are serving Indian dishes in a french cafe. But if u have indian food on the menu, please make it right. We tried their paneer bhurji pav.. it was so bland. If u expect any flavours, it only has turmeric and salt in it.I also found some gaps in the hygiene.. they had a display of bread to be purchased but it was kept outside, on the opposite side of the counter where anyone could touch it. Please cover it with some transparent glass top or plastic top or something. On the bright side, their pastry and coffee was good.

We had speciality coffee, pineapple croissant, paneer bhurji pav & Masala cheese omelets. To be honest the coffee and the croissant was really good. These 2 stars are for that. However the pav and omelet was really bad. No flavors at all. Do not come here if you want to try their sandwich and food options. Visit only for coffee and pastries. Plus they did not even these pastries in their paper menu which is baffling.. anyways hope they improve.

After seeing this shop go 'viral', I was excited to pop in. What a disappointment. $15 for a croissant and cookie, and the staff serving was miserable. Way better local shops to try, and they actually appreciate customers.

The food and coffee were absolutely delicious. Had a croque madame, quiche, kouign Amaan, cookie, Mocha Latte and Cortado.Standout items were the croque madame ($16) and the mocha latte - probably one of the best in the city.but there were a few issues… our water cups were dirty (we had them changed 3 times, the staff was super nice about it) and we found hair in my sandwich and in the Kouign-Amaan

I was wanting to try the Eggs Benedict because I heard it was such a unique experience, but they weren't serving it today because it's a very slow and rainy Wednesday. I'll have to come back another day for itBut the Croque Madame I did get was absolutely sublime, with the perfectly melted greyere cheese, the fresh bread, and the layers of thinly sliced black forest ham. Every bite was an absolute delight, and I would recommend this place to anyone, especially on a rainy day in downtown Toronto, when you would rather be in Paris. At least taste-wise, you can be there, at this café.I also bought the chocolate chip cookie and the chocolate pistachio croissant. The chocolate chip cookie was great, soft and full of semi-sweet chips, but I ruined myself for the sticky toffee pudding, one of my favourite desserts... I'll have to save it for next time!

Found this gem as we were walking Queen St and wanted lunch. Very quaint atmosphere, they were busy so sat on the couch which was fun :) Service was great, servers were very helpful and food came out promptly. I had the eggs benedict which was an interesting twist on a classic. We didn’t get any of the pastries but they looked delicious. Would go back again for sure!

A random stop into this place turned into the best surprise! Delicious, lovely space with amazing customer service in a busy Sunday! I was happy to try their fresh baked croissants and stare longingly at my neighbours brunch food. It looked amazing! They make pastries in small batches you can see done with kitchen in the back. I actually can't wait to go back. There were too many things to try. Honestly, it is a must to stop by here if you are looking for a respite from queen west and a solid experience all round.

Amazing cafe to have some great treats such as deserts, croissants, drinks and sandwiches. Their grilled cheese sandwich was made to perfection along with the supreme mango blast pastry. The owner and staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcome while you are eating there. Even the atmosphere of the cafe is beautiful.
