Very cute spot to grab a meal with friends! But I found the food inconsistent. The pasta was overly salty, the eggplant sandwich was not seasoned at all, and the meatballs were perfectly seasoned.Their lattes and matcha are very delicious.I'd definitely come back for that.

Amazing experience at Gia this evening. We had the pleasure of Colette serving us with additional help from Paula and it couldn’t have been better. The food was fabulous- gonna be dreaming of that vegan brie for a while. And I highly recommend the olive oil cake for dessert! Michelin star well deserved.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options

I recently went to Gia for my birthday lunch, and it exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect intimate vibe for a special occasion. We tried several apps and they were all amazing. The arancini and fresh focaccia are a must order. When ordering a main dish, I recommend the Rigatoni Bolognese. My Fiancé is a meat lover, but he was beyond impressed with this plant based alternative. There are a variety of vegan and vegetarian options if that's important to you. This unique Italian plant-forward restaurant is worth the visit!Vegetarian options: So many plant based options including- baby gem salad, Rigatoni Bolognese, eggplant parm, arancini, meatball sandwich.

Our group of 5 had an absolutely stunning experience at Gia. We tried several apps, mains and desserts and loved every dish. The truffle agnolotti and lions mane bistecca were the standout dishes. The cocktails were delicious and we received a great wine recommendation too. The service was fast (but not rushed) and our server provided wonderful recommendations throughout our meal. Will definitely return!

We decided it's gonna be an Italian Easter dinner tonight and came across Gia on Google maps with glowing reviews, so we throught to give it a shot. However, we only realized that's it's a vegan/vegetarian restaurant after we sat down. A little skeptical, but was reassured by the Michelin recommendation we saw on their wall. I am glad to say I enjoyed every dish. They were all flavorful and beautifully presented. The service was wonderful and atmosphere was casual sophistication which I liked. I think this was a beautiful mistake that we made, because as a meat eater, I rather enjoyed today's meal!Vegetarian options: Two dishes they use eggsDietary restrictions: Two dishes has eggs in them

Their pickle brine martini is to die for, super crispy and boozy in just the right way. I’m not usually a martini fan, but had to order two! Their seasonal squash ravioli was also A+, had no idea this was a plant based restaurant, but nothing disappointed a meat-fan like me.

This was our second visit to GIA for the year, we travel from upstate NY to Toronto to get there so that alone should give an indication of the superb experience you will have. The first thing that caught my attention was the cozy and perfectly lit dining room, it feels like you've walked into the private, cooler section of the hottest restaurant in town. There are no uniforms in sight here. The wait staff confidently walk the floor wearing their own choice of fashionable yet sophisticated attire, giving the dining experience less of a Ruby Tuesday, fast casual feel and more of a, I've been invited to a very classy dinner party vibe. The menu has some classic Italian dishes alongside some fresh takes on lesser known ones, the menu did change from the last time we were here which I'm glad to see, it's nice to know they're coming up with new ideas to keep things interesting. We started our meal with the focaccia, baked brie and arancini. The baked brie was out of this world, if this is house made which I think it is then hats off to them because this felt like a product that was refined over years of practice. I also have to mention the pickeled fennel, I did not know I needed that flavor in my life until then. We loved the  focaccia and lemon maple butter, not over done with the rosemary. For the mains we had the lions mane steak, risotto and rigatoni bolognese. I've been craving a good steak replacement since the day I switched diets and nothing has hit the spot until we tried GIAs. The texture was perfect, the sear on the steak was beautifully done. It really brought it to the next level as far as steak flavor goes and the demi glace tied it all together, amazing... The rice in the risotto was cooked to al dente, the crispy artichokes gave the right texture balance and as a whole has great flavor. The bolognese was a nice surprise, I wasn't expecting too much as this is a simple dish at heart but the depth of flavor was very nice, a good umami punch. The buckwheat pasta blend was very toothsome and provided additional flavor compared to most pastas that blend in the background. You can tell from the moment you walk in to the last bite that they really take care and attention to insure you are going to have a good meal and a fun time. Out of the growing list of vegan Italian restaurants we've tried from Italy to California GIA is at the top of my list. Thank you to the staff for a great evening!

Okok

Bad male server. Arrogant and ignored our “thank you” every time. Wouldn’t pack our dessert although it would have only took 2 paper cups, instead he just cancelled it.The appetizers we ordered were out of this world, so good and we wish we only got those. The pasta wasn’t half as good, expensive, heavy and made us feel bad the entire way back home. Good rosé.The restaurant’s vibe is that of a cafe, the seats and tables, the general structure of the place as well as the staff give off cheap vibes while the food is expensive. And yeah… I wouldn’t come again except for the appetizers.

Went there to celebrate our daughter bday. Was an absolutely right choice. First time there and definitely coming back. Three of us picked all different things, and all got shared. Brie is amazing, arancini is our son's fav, Maitake mushroom is a blast, Bucatini full of different flavours, and, oh, Zio Pablo cocktail! Next time trying the rest.Vegetarian options: There are some dishes we asked to replace with plant based (no cheese or eggs)

I recently went to Gia for a birthday brunch, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the ambiance, exceptional service, and, most importantly, the exquisite food. As a testament to its Michelin star, Gia Toronto offers a lavish menu with a focus on plant-based options, each dish more delightful than the last. A special shoutout to the thoughtful staff who, knowing it was a special occasion, surprised us with a delicious cake on the house. It's rare to find a place that truly exceeds expectations in every aspect. Gia Toronto has earned a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply in search of an outstanding dining experience.

Came here around 5:15pm and we were told that we could stay until 7. We ordered the risotto and porcini agnolotti which were both scrumptious. It bothered us that the service felt curt and quite rude. As soon as we declined dessert, we were rushed to leave. The waiter brought our bill even though we weren’t ready, and then brought the machine to prompt us to pay even though we had wanted to stay a bit longer and wouldn’t have stayed past 7 as they mentioned when we walked in. All this happened around 6pm and we were out of the restaurant by 6:20pm. Not a fan of being rushed out, although I do understand that they probably wanted to get through as many customers as possible. Nevertheless, both of us felt like they wanted us to leave as quickly as possible and it made us feel uncomfortable. The atmosphere itself was lovely and the food tasted absolutely divine. The portions were a little small for me and I left a little hungry, so I highly recommend ordering an appetizer to go along with the pasta. The ambiance was a bit too loud for my preference once it started filling up around 6pm. I would come back for the food but I hope I get better service here in the future.
