An incredible building with a rich history. The exhibition on the third floor about the house and the old lift were real highlights. However, in the rooms facing the street, it was nearly impossible to sleep without earplugs and an eye mask – extremely loud and the blinds hardly blocked any light. Next time, I would definitely book a room at the back.
Great location – right where you want to be!
It was a bit loud at times, but that comes with the central location and the hotel’s character.
Loved the gym and our corner room with lots of charm.
Receptionists were always super kind and helpful.
And yes – even the elevator had character. Loved it!
Went here during the Canada Day long weekend for a wedding, they had 75 people room felt very small, food was all served cold, open bar ran out of beer, which I find crazy! The area alone is very sketchy. I personally would never do a wedding here.
Visited the cafe for a lunch , I loved the environment and the waiter was nice. However the customer service could improve- I very politely let them know I really didn’t like the drink which was 17$ it tasted really weird and than they ended up trying to charge me for it even though they took it away after I let them know. The bar tender came out and I asked him if he had something with strawberry or raspberry he said yes and came back with a pineapple drink. The manager said if you don’t like the taste of something you still need to pay for it only if something is really wrong than you don’t… than he changed the price of my replacement drink to more expensive because I mentioned I shouldn’t be charged for the drink that was sent back. I work in luxury hospitality so I just felt like that was an uncomfortable resolution when it could have been very simple.
Other than that the food was good and environment was pretty.
Artsy and fun boutique hotel in the Queen West district. Enjoyed our stay!
We hosted our company party at Gladstone House and couldn't have had a better experience. Giannina, Jose and the team ran a seamless event which everybody loved.

Beautiful hotel! Definitely stay here if you’re coming to Toronto. Had a lovely chat with a manager named Bayley who gave me some really good recommendations for things to do while I was in town! Will be back next time I come to the city

I recently stopped by The Gladstone for a quick business meeting. The cafe has a beautiful space with a relaxed vibe. Our server, Julian, was incredibly welcoming, and his recommendations were spot on. The brunch was fabulous and reasonably priced.. I'll definitely be back!

Dropped by The Gladstone Hotel recently, curious to check out the changes since Streetcar took over. Loved the menu and was happy that the vibe in The Bistro hadn’t changed. Enjoyed the classic breakfast. Service was top notch, with a special shout out to Julian who was pleasant, knowledgeable and made our dining experience enjoyable.

I am always curious about this hotel. Finally have the encouragement to come inside for a visit. The lobby looks beautiful, with an eclectic atmosphere.
The staff Sifat is very friendly and attentive. We would like to take a look at the elevator and he showed us and gave us a brief introduction and overview of the hotel. Appreciate his great hospitality!

We enjoyed the Gladstone House when we visited for the Taylor Swift concert. The hotel is so charming and unique. It is full of art with an art studio in the basement, has the oldest elevator lift in the city, has a wonderful restaurant that we enjoyed breakfast and the best latte! The rooms are comfortable and well equipped with all your needs. Each floor has a beautiful common area for guests to enjoy. The staff as well as the whole city was very kind and joined in with the excitement of the concert. The hotel is near lots of restaurants, shops, and easy access to public transportation. If you want a very personal experience vs. the big chain hotel, I highly recommend the Gladstone House!
Rooms: Well appointed rooms with common areas on each floor to enjoy.
Nearby activities: Restaurants, shops, museums, public transportation
Safety: Felt safe the entire time.
Walkability: Easy access to King and Queen Street where there's lots to do. Streetcars run directly in front of the hotel. This can take you to the train for more destinations.
