Had a great breakfast here the other day, the food is good and what you would expect from a classic old school diner. The portions are great and the prices were good, especially for downtown toronto! Overall would definitely go back again, perfect for the morning after a night out or a chill Sunday morning

Sevice was bad. The server just throw the menu in my table august 22 6 pm. The old lady . Really bad. I stop coming anymore here not unless the old lady is the server is gone. She is giving me attitude from the beginning till i pay the bill I didnât enjoy my order. Racism is real in this location. If youâre asian they treat you bad.

You walk into a place like this not for the food, but for the promise of something vaguely comforting. Vinyl booths that stick to your thighs. Filter coffee that tastes like water in which coffee beans have been soaking in for a few years. A laminated menu that hasnât changed since the invention of credit cards.
The eggs were eggs. The toast was toast. The potatoes just gave up on being Breakfast. A soft, starchy embarrassment of a vegetable. Everything else was fine in that soul-numbing, beige kind of way. Service was kind, in that âIâm at the end of my shift and Iâve seen some shitâ.
This is not a place you come to eatâitâs a place you come to exist. For a moment. Hungover, heartbroken, or hiding from your boss. And sometimes, thatâs enough but sometimes you want something to taste better than the dull monotonous drip that life becomes.
When your eggs get cold by the time they get to you, you know youâre not alright. When the French toast in combo one is dry and looks like a leather bag thatâs been drying in the Sahara for a few summers now, you know youâre not alright. When you get maple syrup thatâs sweet like fake compliments, you know youâre not alright. You know that when you order orange juice and you donât get it but you still pay for it - you know youâre not alright.
All I wish is they cook the home fries better.

It's my first time there in many years. Excellent, well, portioned food, but they don't cut the toast. Is this something new? When I ordered, i asked for freshly cooked bacon and a glass of iced water, but I received neither. Although the food was top notch.
