My daughter loves bubble tea
First the server would not honour a promo posted on their own instagram account. Made us wait 5-10 mins so she can speak to the manager on WhatsApp before finally accepting the promo. We placed our order and after waiting 20-25 mins we asked for an update. She had not even started making our order. Mind you we were the ONLY customers in store. Seeing she had not even begun making our order we asked for a refund and left. All in all, 30+ minutes wasted of our time. If you’re reading this, go somewhere else. Their Yonge street location is much better.
The person who served us was so friendly and he made us special waffles as well
Excellent service and amazing products!
Aynur and Erin were AMAZING!!! Thank you for all your help and expertise with all the choices of bubble tea 🧋!!
Poor experience and wrong order. We ordered a hot tea with no sugar. We only noticed after we left the store that the tea was lukewarm and had extra sugar. Not only that, when we came in their were no customers and it took the barista about 15 minutes (no, I'm not exaggerating) to make the drink we did not ask for. She also prioritized a customer that came in a few minutes after us and did not start making our order until she completed his. I'm not sure if she was new or just didn't like us for some reason. This could be a one-off but I won't be coming back.
Absolutely horrific & infinitely terrible. The boba is never fresh. It is always stale, hard & off tasting. Additionally, in a large bubble tea there is consistently barely any boba-an absolute insult. The tea is minimally alright. It is exceedingly overpriced & the place itself itself inside is nothing special. I will never ever return. I live quite close & this establishment is merely a garbage can due to it being such a waste. The customer service is non-existent as the staff has never been friendly nor helpful. Truly, I have no idea how it is still in business & managing to remain open. Stay as far away as possible. It's a complete waste of money & time to step foot into Gong Cha Waterfront.
Wonderful staff and fantastic drinks
We always come here to hang out and study. The staff are very helpful especially Aynur. Aynur is very cheerful and she made sure that we enjoyed our drinks. It was a great overall experience thanks to Aynur's excellent customer service. Will definitely keep coming back!

Waited 30 min before checking in at counter for an online order. Server explained that online order was rejected which is why it was not ready and, on busy days, they reject online orders. This was during Nuit Blanche.
Fair enough but I shouldn't have been able to place an order in the first place if this was the case. They expected that i should line up again. Wouldn't have been a huge stretch to at least start on the order at that point as I still would've paid. Left without a drink for me and my partner after 40min of being there and no effort by staff to compensate.
Aynur was very nice to talk to and made some great drinks
Very poor shopping experience at Gongcha. We ordered a large hot milk tea using the self-ordering machine, but there was no indication that choosing 'large' for a hot drink actually means a much smaller cup. The 'large' hot drink is significantly smaller than the no ice, less ice, or regular ice versions. I understand if Gongcha reduces the hot drink size to balance costs (since hot cups may cost more), but customers don’t appreciate surprises. Gongcha should inform customers upfront if selecting certain options changes the drink size, instead of expecting customers to notice on their own. Gongcha shouldn’t mislead customers like this.
On top of that, the lady working on October 26, 2024, at 6:00 pm, showed no sense of customer service. After we explained the situation, she appeared annoyed, then went to the back to make the drink out of sight. This left us concerned about whether she might have tampered with it out of frustration, so we couldn’t even drink it. We wasted $10 and 20 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend Gongcha to anyone. Try To Go Coffee instead—it might be a much better experience.
