Gong Cha Waterfront

Very poor shopping experience at Gongcha. We ordered a large hot milk tea using the self-ordering machine, but there was no indication that choosing 'large' for a hot drink actually means a much smaller cup. The 'large' hot drink is significantly smaller than the no ice, less ice, or regular ice versions. I understand if Gongcha reduces the hot drink size to balance costs (since hot cups may cost more), but customers don’t appreciate surprises. Gongcha should inform customers upfront if selecting certain options changes the drink size, instead of expecting customers to notice on their own. Gongcha shouldn’t mislead customers like this.

On top of that, the lady working on October 26, 2024, at 6:00 pm, showed no sense of customer service. After we explained the situation, she appeared annoyed, then went to the back to make the drink out of sight. This left us concerned about whether she might have tampered with it out of frustration, so we couldn’t even drink it. We wasted $10 and 20 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend Gongcha to anyone. Try To Go Coffee instead—it might be a much better experience.

just left this location feeling warmer than ever! lucas was so accommodating and friendly and helped us decide a drink on recommendation. this drink was made special for us and was so tasty because of it! a cozy lil atmosphere is being created tucked away by harbourfront.

Come to this location with 10-15 mins to spare. Service is very slow, no matter if it’s busy or empty. Employees have no rush. Doesn’t look like there’s a manager or anything available

Repeated complaints about how one staff is manning a seemingly busy place. Yet, the management doesn't seem to bother.

Edit: Management fails to notice or resolve the issue but has ready made passive aggressive replies! Kudos for the quick bounce back!

Would be great if the same speed applies to the in store order delivery.

I placed an Uber order at 7:30PM, which they accepted my order. My driver contacted me 30 minutes later saying that the store told him that it was cancelled, and I told the driver that I didn’t cancel anything on my end.
So when he went back, they changed what they were saying and told the driver that someone else had taken my order.
I had tried to call the store so many times to clear up what was going on, because all they really had to do was either
1) call me
Or 2) remake the order

In the end Uber ended up cancelling my order and I had to put in another one, im unsure of when this one will arrive now.

I go to Gong Cha pretty often but this location is not up to par with other Gong Cha locations I’ve been to. The drinks don’t taste good and are not what you would expect or receive at other locations. I’d suggest the owner(s) and staff visit other locations to learn how to properly make drinks or brush up on the Gong Cha franchise recipes. This location simply does not live up to the Gong Cha name or reputation. Very disappointing.

Nice space with reasonably priced food and drinks. I got a large Peach Green Iced Tea and a Creme Brulee Croffle (croissant pressed into a waffle) to go. The sauce is to die for, not too sweet and torched right in front of you. Loved the iced tea, came back later for a passionfruit green tea with lychee jelly after it was recommended to me by the person who served me earlier, definitely yummy. Thanks!
