Tucked in the enclave of Leslieville is this gem of a restaurant Goods and Provisions. The ambiance is great with warm wood paneling on the walls and low warm tone lighting. The wall decorations are eclectic and help create the vibe. I was impressed with the playlist as well and was told that it was the owners fav song selections.
However the star of this restaurant is the food. Shared steak tartare and duck frites. The steak tartare was fresh and vibrant and the toasty bread was an excellent accompaniment. The duck was tender and juicy and the jus on the fries was great.
I had the grilled octopus as well which was served on a crisp hash brown that was divine. This was one great meal. The server informed us that the menu changes weekly. How wonderful! A small menu done well.
I will definitely be returning.

Lovely spot. Can be hard to get a table sometimes but the food and cocktails are worth the wait.

This place delivers the goods and does it well. While the crispy fried squid is always a safe choice, and the scallops were fresh, they were ultimately overshadowed by their mouthwatering comrades. Firstly, the eye-catching beef tartare delivers contrasting textures of the buttery chunks of tender beef and the crackly crisp sourdough baguette that's delicious enough to eat on its own. Each bite has a profound beefy richness that's only elevated by its thoughtful accoutrements. The deviled egg sauce adds a creamy, savory depth, whole mustard seeds, diced cornichons, and some peppery microgreens. If you're feeling thirsty, then sink your teeth into the thick and juicy Iberico pork burger, which bursts like a balloon containing pure umami. The pillowy soft egg brioche bun is lightly toasted in butter to enhance the richness while also absorbing all the flavourful juices from the patty, while containing the tangy pickles that cut through the richness, a smoky espelette aioli, a nutty slice of gruyere, and sweet caramelized onions. Then, the Basque cheesecake blew me away, but I clawed my way back to savour every last bite. It's decadently smooth, moist and creamy texture effortlessly melts in your mouth, as the cream cheese base provides a pleasantly sweet bite that has a perfectly charred exterior that brings a caramelized, slightly bitter complexity. The heterogeneous bite is mirrored in its slightly firmer crust and gooey center, which is tied together with a bright cherry syrup to cut through the richness of the cheesecake beautifully.
This spot is such a gem! Loud and super tight with seating but it’s a really cozy spot.
No reservations, but on a random Thursday was seated right away. The service was really slow here, I had to look for our server often and that part was annoying. However, great enthusiasm and knowledge.
The drinks: I got the old facist and it was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. Hands down. It went down like butter, so smooth and perfectly crafted. I had to have more than one.
The tomato toast was so surprising, it was phenomenal. Very simple yet hit ever note. The rib eye was flavourful and juicy, a bit fatty for me but still really good. I wish the fries were crispier.
I will definitely be back for the vibes, cocktails and to try more food.

One of my new fave restaurants on the east end. The space is so quaint and cool (get a seat by the window if possible) and the cocktail and wine list are plentiful. The food was also fab - I highly recommend the scallop crisp, croquettes, and Caesar salad.

Best bar in the east-end. A+ atmosphere. Stiff drinks. Elevated food options. A 'will repeat often' place.

I had been meaning to go forever and I’m so glad I finally did. The devilled eggs are insane, but as was everything else on the menu! #ContestEntry

The atmosphere is dark and cozy. The décor instantly transports you to a vintage English pub. The food was 10/10 with each bite being better than the last. If you’re looking for delicious food with great vibes definitely check them out. I’d highly recommend the tomato toast, chicken wings, and the basque cheese cake.

Love the atmosphere and nibbles. Possibly the best tavern on the east end and a local favourite.
