This place COULD have been a really great restaurant if they took it seriously. I feel like the issue is not with their cooking but their attitude. I got the shrimp, which was delicious however a few shrimps were not cleaned properly, you could tell they tried to clean it but just did a very sloppy job and missed a few. The fish I got was really fishy, you could tell they didn't bother to use fresh ingredients. It was also really salty which tells me the cook probably didn't taste his own food. Fried rice was really delicious tho. The whole place also wasn't very clean and that's probably because the server didn't care to clean it. Overall they servers looked like they didn't really care.
We decided to have a little reunion dinner here and I’m so glad my friend suggested this restaurant. The vegetarian dishes were delicious. We especially loved the Steamed Lotus Root Stuffed with Sticky Rice and Noodle Mixed with Fried Onion and Soy Sauce. The Bread Temptation is also a MUST! The crisp bread with the ice cream is such a delight. The restaurant’s decor is also quite beautiful. The space is welcoming and clean. I will definitely be coming back for the dishes stated above!

Two of the dishes are LITERALLY DISH SOAP FLAVORED. We asked the managers to taste them in front of our faces, and they pretended like they’ve tasted nothing.Food here isn’t fresh at all, and overpriced as most of the restaurants in Chinatown. Really disappointing experience and would never come again.
Food and services were both disappointing. I tried their chicken before and was impressed by its taste. But this time it was really disappointing. The pork dish was sweet and the sauce definitely dominated the meat itself’s taste. Beef was also so-so. Service was slow and it’s pretty hard to get their attention.
I have never seen a restaurant with such a horrible service. The waiter pretends not to hear us or see us the whole time. It took him 20min to refill a pot of tea and was very impatient with any question or request. There’s a reason why others restaurants are full of people on a Sunday but this one has only two tables of guests. Waiter here apparently is not willing to work and wishes customers to leave as soon as possible. Definitely not going back again and if you are looking for a pleasant lunch experience, do not waste your time and money here.
This is the best Chinese restaurant in DT Toronto. Highly recommended!
Food was delicious and authentic, but it's on pricey side due to the small portion. Customer service was okay. Noodle Mixed with Fried Onion and Soy Sauce and House Special Icy Jelly are a rarely find thing in Canada. Fried Fish in Honey Soy Sauce and House Special Sweet Gluten are another good ones to have. The fish bone was so tender to eat. Overall, the food was good.
We were turned away at 8:40 even though the restaurant closes at 10pm. The person greeting us said they were closing early due to weather, noting it’s standard practice for restaurants to close early when weather is poor. Luckily the weather was nice enough for us to walk 5 minutes to another restaurant. Will not come back due to poor attitude and business practice.
Something is seriously wrong with this place. The food is mediocre but the service is beyond horrible. Called at 8:30pm to ask in advance when they close, they said the last call is at 9pm and they close at 9:30pm. Got there at 8:50pm and they said they are closed due to bad business. Opened Uber eat and it’s still showing as available until 9pm. The guy just sat there and shouted across the room too bad we closed early, did not even bother to try and explain or offer any apologies. Rude and completely disrespectful. Even argued and said we didn’t say we were coming in advance when we called to ask what time they close. No wonder the reviews are horrible. Management need to replace these people and find better employees if you want any customers. Least to say will never come back here again.

Complete scammers, absolutely disgusting. Called to order takeout and drove all the way there, when we were about to pay, we realized the total they were charging for take out was ridiculously higher than ordering delivery on the platform. When we asked why is it so much higher the server said they offer discount for using third party apps, and since we decided to call and order takeout, it’s our fault, and we will need to pay the higher surcharge. We then asked what if we were to place the order on the app for pick up that would be the same thing, he then argued and said if we were to do that he would block us from ever ordering again. Since we thought it was less than $40 we did not have enough cash and asked him to pay by card, he then said that’ll be another surcharge for the fee to pay by card. On the app the total for 2 dishes was $38, in the end we had to pay $63…
Not cheap but food and environment is great. Got the membership and would come more often
Cosy and ideal restaurant for some traditional Chinese restaurants, really like the tofu and the chicken, usually try it in China, still feel good after it open in Canada
It's Hangzhou style where Jack Ma is from. I like most of the cooking but now all coming from more of a Cantonese palette.
The dishes are delicate and delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive. It’s a must visit if you want to experience Chinese gourmet cuisine.
