Nice piping hot soup! The crispy pork tomato noodle was good, not too spicy but I can taste a slight element of mala peppercorn in the fried crispy pork. It was very crispy and flavorful. The soup was not too tangy or sour. Easily can finish the entire bowl. Be warned though.. you need to be careful because that handle is hot!
The original chicken broth w ground pork was nice. Very light and I liked how they make their own broth. It’s not too salty although the pork itself was seasoned well. Good portions with lots of rice noodles for $13.99 I can see how this can be attractive for those looking for budget eats!
Pork belly rice was just meh at first. Lots of rice. But the best bite is if you take a scoop of rice, green onion, pork belly, and soup that collects at the bottom. It really needs the soup and sauce to tie it all together. It comes w extra spicy sauce (if you can handle it). Good deal for $9.99 a bowl.
I liked how each bowl had a good balance of meat, veggie and lots of noodle or rice so it’s quite filling. There are about 8 tables so it’s not huge but it wasn’t busy either at 8pm. Service is quite fast and courteous. Would recommend if you’re looking for a quick and budget friendly meal!

I just needed a quick lunch so I went on and had an order of steamed dumplings. Fast, nice, ample lunch. Delicious. You mix your own dipping sauce only vinegar soy sauce and chili oil are provided maybe they have nicer ponzu I didn't think to ask and was in a hurry.

Tried this place today and was pleasantly surprised! The spicy golden beef is on the hotter side, but super flavorful and totally worth it. The tomato soup base is rich, savory and comforting. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve had in Toronto. My mom ordered the braised pork rice, and it was only $9.99. That’s a rare find in Toronto!
Staff were friendly, service was fast, and the free rice noodle refill was a nice bonus. Will definitely come back. 👍👍

Honest opinion: soup is so MSG heavy, there’s no real broth.
We ordered their sour spicy mixian and tomato soup mixian. The first sip already gives us a strong MSG flavour. We cannot enjoy our mixian at all. It’s too overpowering. Yes they offer free refill of mixian, but the essence of the whole dish is absent - lack of quality soup to go with the mixian. I would refrain from commenting on the portion of their toppings, I get it the economy is not great (giving the benefit of the doubt).
We used to see their rating was below 4, and now suddenly an upsurge of 5 star KOL comments flooding the most recent reviews.
Take it with a pinch of salt what you see on Google Reviews. I would give 5 star easily to good mixian because I’ve always been a mixian lover with my East Asian background. But not this shop, NO.
