Was an off night for them in the sense that it was really busy but disappointing nonetheless. Took 15-20 minutes to get an aperol spritz and a glass of wine which we were not able to enjoy with our meal. Wanted to order more drinks and food at different junctures but wasn't able to get our servers attention. Ended up cutting dinner shorter than planned.

Food was delicious. The second floor was way too damn hot. Outdoors was easily 5-10 degrees cooler. Would have stayed and drank longer if not for the heat.

Olives, pasta and pizza were great. House wine at a buck an ounce is a steal! Love the rosé! Sat on the rooftop patio, nice ambiance for summer. Server was attentive, friendly and efficient.

Disappointed with our experience. We spent several hundred $$$ hoping for a relaxed dinner with a friend, but felt rushed from the moment we sat down. The server kept reminding us of a 1hr 45min time limit something we weren't told when booking. We were constantly asked when we'd order or Leave, even while other tables stayed longer undisturbed. Not the kind of service you'd expect at this price point.

I have eaten a few times at Gusto 501 and I feel compelled to give them some recognition for what has always been an excellent experience. The food is very flavourable, cooked to perfection, and good value including being a decent sized portion. The house wine is a deal at $1 per ounce, and is of good quality. And the servers have always been efficient, unobtrusive and on top of everything. As a bonus the setting is pretty cool - nicely designed, tables are not too crowded, and atmospheric. This is a very good place to enjoy a special night out!

Amazing quick service! Pizza and pasta were incredible! Can't beat the $1 per ounce of house wine!

Gusto 501 is my and myy husband's go-to for a chill brunch on weekends. This visit, we went with my sister, and she also loved the food and ambiance of the restaurant. This place is one of our most recommended places to go for chill brunch / romantic dinner / celebrations.

My sister and I took our Dad to Gusto 501 for Father's Day and we had a lovely time! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was uplifting, and our server was excellent! We'll definitely visit again.

Service and food were pretty good. Ambient kinda loud and too dark (but just for me). I'll come back during the day. Recommended specially if you live in the area

Food is absolutely amazing. Our waitress is great. However, I arrived with no one at the front door greeting me meanwhile two staff were standing next to me on their phones chatting and texting for a good 5 minutes. It does get loud around 6pm-7pm.

Food was delicious and nice portion of pasta and pizza. Table outside on patio was a bit shaky and the patio lacked charm. We decided to sit outside because it was nice out. Next time will probably sit inside though it was louder due to being busy and music playing. Service was just 'ok' nothing stood out in particular or made it memorable

The food was delicious, hot and promptly delivered. Wine choice was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great vibe. It was a little difficult to hear but perhaps because we were seated on the main level very close to the kitchen and washroom so traffic was high. I wished we were upstairs but it was very busy for a Tuesday evening. Next time I'll ask about that. Otherwise I will definitely recommend and go back as it's right in my neighborhood

I've been to Gusto 501 a few times and usually enjoy it. This time, we tried something different—sat on the upstairs balcony and ordered dishes we hadn't before. Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. We had the burger and the risotto. The burger patty was dense, lacked a proper char, and felt heavy with an odd texture. The risotto was gritty, and the parmesan was overpowering—too sharp and funky. The focaccia came out first but oddly without any olive oil or dipping oil. The olives were delicious though, and our server was kind—just a bit delayed due to how busy it was. The upstairs balcony doesn't have much of a view, so I wouldn't recommend it for the ambiance. Gusto still has great energy and a solid menu overall, but I'll stick to my usual favourites next time.

For a first time eating, we were left unimpressed. We were seated upstairs which turned out to be much noiser. The lasagna was served cold and the rosé was not that great. I had heard good things about this place but I'm sorry to say that it wasn't worth the hype unfortunately. The only reason the review is even 3 stars is that we had a really nice waiter.
