Olives, pasta and pizza were great. House wine at a buck an ounce is a steal! Love the rosé! Sat on the rooftop patio, nice ambiance for summer. Server was attentive, friendly and efficient.
Disappointed with our experience. We spent several hundred $$$ hoping for a relaxed dinner with a friend, but felt rushed from the moment we sat down. The server kept reminding us of a 1hr 45min time limit something we weren't told when booking. We were constantly asked when we'd order or Leave, even while other tables stayed longer undisturbed. Not the kind of service you'd expect at this price point.
I have eaten a few times at Gusto 501 and I feel compelled to give them some recognition for what has always been an excellent experience. The food is very flavourable, cooked to perfection, and good value including being a decent sized portion. The house wine is a deal at $1 per ounce, and is of good quality. And the servers have always been efficient, unobtrusive and on top of everything. As a bonus the setting is pretty cool - nicely designed, tables are not too crowded, and...
