Haidilao Hot Pot Toronto Downtown

Best experience at the downtown Toronto location. The service with our server Roy was amazing. Super sweet and made us feel very welcomed. 10/10

I came here for the second time with my partner during the dinner rush. Completely blew our expectations away!

We remember our first time eating here, with the food being decent but nothing crazy and the service was okay. However upon our second time visiting, our server, Bill Xu, was not only kind but went above and beyond to show us genuine hospitality. He was extremely patient with any questions we had and checked in with us often.

The food was delicious with the marbled beef being my favorite item that night. There are a variety of items you can choose from with the selection being quite large. Both sweet and savoury items were quite tasty so you can't really go wrong.

Lastly, I take the cleanliness of washrooms very seriously. I have to say that I was very impressed upon walking into the washroom. Not only was the design of the washroom itself modern and elegant, but it was very apparent that the staff does check their washrooms. It was pretty clean and there were several free amenities offered (toothpicks, floss, mouthwash). Overall, I was speechless to discover a really good washroom experience in a city full of awful and disgusting washrooms.

While the bill can be expensive by the end, the service and quality of the food was top-notch. Overall, this was a great experience and we will definitely be coming again.

This place hands down has some of the best staff/service I have ever experienced. Even though it was really busy and my boyfriend and I had to wait awhile for our table (this was totally understandable- no issue with that and the rush hour) the second we were seated, our server (I think his name was Bill Xu) was beyond kind, friendly, and helpful the entire night. Not to mention the food was fantastic and filling. Will definitely look forward to my next visit!

The soup base is bland. There is barely any spices in the soup. Maybe catering to the local customers? But dishes are not fresh. I understand Haidilao has a name for its service, not the taste in China. Still disappointing. 国内的食客可以避雷了。

Had an incredible experience at Hai Di Lao in Toronto. The food was probably the best hotpot we’ve had and our server, Bill Xu, made it even better. He was super nice, handled every request with ease, and just made the whole night feel relaxed and fun.

They surprised my cousin with a really thoughtful birthday celebration which none of us were expecting and it was such a nice touch. And the golden bricks at the end were perfect — they cut the spice from the meal and wrapped everything up on a high note.

We really really had a good time.

Yvette is a very nice girl! She always serves you with a smile on her face, which made my meal a lot more pleasant. I highly recommend her if you guys are looking for a reliable waitress at this Hai Di Lao hot pot restaurant!

The service was excellent, Corey was our server and did a phenomenal job, she needs a raise! She was hilarious, answered all of our questions as newcomers perfectly, and made us feel super comfortable. Will be coming back, I hope when I'm back Corey is a supervisor.
