The food here at brunch is just all wrong. Homemade sausage bites, although a great idea.. Sausage was utterly flavorless. Burnt the first round of bacon and then the second round came undercooked. Toast was served with COLD butter so I couldn't even spread it on the toast. Eggs over medium were cooked perfectly but again lacked any seasoning. "Homefries" as advertised on the menu were jn fact not home fries at all but traditional cut French fries.Staff was efficient and friendly but honestly it just felt like nobody in the kitchen gives a damn what they're putting on the plate; there's no love or direction with the food. It feels like they don't even want to do brunch. Best part of the meal was the water.

Finally it’s patio season. Came with my puppy and had the best experience ever. Server was super friendly and considerate. Water was provided for everyone and pup once we sat down. Food is amazing with great prices. Desperate services at restaurants in general have gone down significantly, HAIR OF THE DOG has exceptional services and great staff. Definitely will return again with my doggo and some other friends.

Was at an event at Mattamy Centre and came across this place. And what a find! It is a cool, quant, chic little spot; almost something a different era. Saw in another review that the nacho were awesome and they were right. Tried the chicken tinga and another hit. Lots of different beers you do not see elsewhere. Also, if you are into cocktails they've got you covered. This is a true local pub/bar not a chain joint and it delivers.
