Never again. When you order take-out they give you the left over cold fries. Would definitely not recommend

Food is consistently delicious, portions are huge, price is fair and service is efficient and friendly. What more can we ask for?

I've been to a few different Halibut House locations but this one is my favourite.
It's always clean, the service is attentive and welcoming (thank you to Dina), and the food is amazing!

We had the fish and chips, both halibut.
The food is made fresh to order and it is delicious!
When our orders came to the table, the fish was hot and fresh and not greasy or oily at all. It's crispy, crunchy on the outside, with the perfect amount of batter, not too much, just right. The fish itself was a good portion, thick and steaky.
The fries must be hand cut daily, they are amazing! Thick and crispy, fried to perfection, again not greasy or oily. The portion was huge! I found myself tapping out but continued to eat them all... they were that good!
Even the coleslaw was bang on. It wasn't creamy, which I prefer; fresh, with the right amount of tartness.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals!

Dina took care of us when we were there and she was great! She's one of the reasons why this location stands out above the others.

DISGUSTED with the quality of food - no return on price - AT ALL .
We paid $47 ( halibut and chips ) ..and( haddock and chips ) and a salad .

The CHIPS were so bad ...we tried to eat them - but we FAILED in trying to eat them .

THEY WERE RE- FRIED FRIES.
TASTED DISGUSTING .

THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED THEIR OIL IN A MONTH .

Fish has to go with CHIPS - but the product was so bad that I would not feed them to my pets

I don’t do many reviews but this was so bad I felt compelled. The only discernible flavor in both the fish and the chips was the clearly old oil they had fried it in. I hope it doesn’t make me sick later.

3 or.4 years ago was my first time there everything was perfect. The last few times over 2 years worsening!!! Til last evening December 2024.
Again another waitress...she okay trying to make a Bad Situation look good.
I placed my order Halibut and Onion Rings with a side fries... because they don't do Frings...I told the waitress my Fries a little more.cooked crispy outside melt in ur mouth inside....Food came...eating fries found 2.or 3 half.cooked / raw fries. After a few minutes of.getting the waitress attention I asked her to drop mine again.

The next few minutes is this Chinese lady cussing and carrying on..So I got so turned off...I.did not wanting those. Any she spit on them or do.something to them.
A few minutes later the waitress came.back with dried out awful fries!!
Another problem is the place is cold they always have cold.breeze blowing and your.food gets cold and Nasty..Nearly every patron left half they're food.cause it was ice.cold
And outside did.not help...but they have cold.air coming in!¡¡

Was served semi naked fish... twice! Decent special on cod on Wednesdays. Asian lady cook has habit of not completely battering fish. Twice, fillet had maybe 35% naked, unbattered area underneath. Even after specifically asking for well battered, the results were disappointingly the same. On the plus side, the taste is perfect, except for the tablespoon of raw cabbage they give, masquerading as coleslaw. Tastes completely raw. No discernable dressing. I usually add more vinegar and sugar at the table, which helps alot. Prices for some items such as onion rings are extremely high. My regular mom n pop place is better. Small deficiencies that ruin the meal.

The fish has been cut in half since the new people have taken over, the food is not as good as it wase

With my favorite place closing down after a lifetime this has been a great replacement for me. Not the best I’ve ever had but definitely worth it.
