Even after specifically asking for well battered, the results were disappointingly the same. On the plus side, the taste is perfect, except for the tablespoon of raw cabbage they give, masquerading as coleslaw. Tastes completely raw. No discernable dressing. I usually add more vinegar...
Really fresh food with not too much batter. Nice people and very clean. I had scallops and Greek salad with a nice semi sweet dressing. The wife, being GF had grilled fish and chips. No batter on the chips and real potatoes! Highly recommend
Was in the area and spotted the Halibut House and with being british, we obviously had to try!! . The clam chowder was not the best, nor were the mushy peas (had an odd aftertaste to them) We tried the deep fried mushrooms, which were delicious, despite the artifical parmesen sprinkled on top! The Haddock was light, fresh, tasty and crispy. The batter wasn't greasy at all in fact it melted in your mouth. As for the 'Chips' they were ok, quite browned but not very...
