Cash only
Miserable staff, the waitress was snarky and the security guard was absolutely insufferable. I understand hating your job (which clearly everyone who works here does), but threatening multiple people from the stage as a bouncer is crazy, he didn’t even look tough up there, just extra large and sweaty😭
Great spot for a show!

I am a 27 year old caucasian woman. I was punched in the face by security out of no where in the middle of the smaller crowd for my event of Dying Wish. Middle of the pit. Whom was the culprit, I didn't get to see because of my assault. When my boyfriend pushed my culprit away from me, turned out to be security??? Who assaulted me??? Why were they escalating in the most pits? We were ejected without any compensation for my attack. Women are not safe or respected here. Security grabbed me by the throat well outside of the pit at the end of a set for zero reason. My boyfriend pushed the clown, only then did he throw his professional managerial title Loser. Im too old for this. Will never be back to hard rock. May it go under and be replaced. Don't bring your girlfriends, sisters, or female loved ones here.

This is the worst place to attend/host a gig, very much due to the security guards. When I played here, security guard touched my back as I was entering and didn’t touch any of the men I walked in with. Also suggested multiple times to people under 19 that they should come back when they turn 19 and that he’d buy them a drink. They also are just incredibly unprofessional and never seem to know what theyre supposed to do.
Came to see a friend perform, very disappointed. The mic kept cutting out, the sound guy didn’t care at all. Would not recommend doing an event here as a novice artist.

Hardluck bar is regarded by anyone that lives in Toronto and goes to gigs as the worst place to see a show. For starters, the one thing they need to get right, the sound, is terrible ! Next, they need to remove the tables and chairs that take up more then half of the space for a handful of people !!! It forces everyone there for the gig to be sandwiched into awkward spaces to watch the show or squeeze through an obstacle course to get to the merch, or anywhere in the bar for that matter during the show, which is thoughtless and stupid. Don't be lazy, move it all to the back during a gig and let people enjoy what they all paid for and came to your bar to see and hear. And finally the barback needs to learn to do his job without being a jerk to paying customers, the guy bodychecked me from behind for no reason as I was standing peacefully to the side watching the gig I paid over 30 bucks to see. Tap your customers on the shoulder barback boy, dont ram them to pick up bottles they paid for to give you a job. Get a clue and fix these things Harluck Bar. 100% recommend to skip Hardluck Bar no matter what gig it is until they fix this mismanaged nonsense of a place.
